I can understand why Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum accept this drama.This drama can be boring for some people.But,calm your mind and look Cha So Hyung's mind.Their eyes contact is everything.The girl who is always afraid to do something and the boy who can comfort that girl.Their chemistry is so Beautiful.It's difficult to express with words.

노래와 드라마의 연결이 너무도 자연스러워서 매번 들을때마다 드라마의 특정씬들이 떠오르는 신기함을 내게 느끼게끔 하는 노래다. 극중 차수현이라는 인물을 노래로써 온전히 다 표현했다해도 과언이 아닐정도... 이소라의 노래연기는 역시 감탄만 자아내는군. 말할것도 없는 한국 최고 여가수!

진짜 이드라마는 이 ost하나로 끝난듯..

This is one of the best love story I've ever watched. It doesn't go overboard, cheesy or overly melodramatic like many Kdrama romance out there. Encounter/Boyfriend is as elegant and understated, sweet and enduring as the main characters. The OST just tops the cake. My favourite is this one - Into My Heart by Lee So Ra. And I don't think the story would've worked if the actors were to be other than Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo. I've watched it once, but I know I'd probably watch it again one of these days.

The story is very well written. I only had one issue with Park Bo Gum's character: he supposed to be 29 but he really acts like a student who has just finished University. 😂He is a bit immature for a man at the age 30. But maybe it's just a Korean thing. Do Korean men around 30 behave like his character?
@@moma-b i think it’s just jinhyeok’s/bogum’s bright and cheerful personality. Some adults do not change their image as they age especially when it’s more into a positive personality, also given by his good family background. I think it justifies his character well. 😅

A lot of critic says this drama is flop and it's boring, but I think they didn't watch the drama. I mean , this drama is sooo good. They're acting is superb and realistic. A lot of them says that SHK's acting here is boring , well in fact that's her character. She was fed up and just go with the flow and just work and work. She was damage emotionally so she has to act emotionless but can still understand his pain. I just love everything, their chemistry, the story.. It's not too much. It's so beautiful.. The drama is elegant. I always watch movie and dramas once and it's very rare for me to watch a drama or movie twice but I already watch it twice and might watch again soon. My heart feels calm just watching it. Love this drama so much :)
I feel like the people who said this series was boring are just impatient and don't understand what it's like to be heartbroken by everything and everyone this was realistic because the female lead was like as if like you said emotionless. When someone who actually wants to be with you for you and help you heal comes in you won't be able to trust at first, its hard to open up your heart when you've been hurt like her character has.
Those people who says her acting is boring her has no knowledge about acting. I always thought that Song Hye Kyo's acting is smart and deep. She knows what are the needs of her character and she gives exactly what is needed on the script, I read a comment once from one of the foremost Director in Asia and he said the same thing. The fact that they said that her acting or i guess what they mean here is that her "character" is boring is exactly the point of her acting, without them knowing that she was giving justice to the character and script, because her character was in fact a boring person who knows nothing about having fun, who is lifeless, serious and uptight and she again portray the character down to the T, but she has so much more room of improvement and she knows and acknowledged that which is very nice and humble of her. Each project that she does she is improving but she pushed herself for the second time (for me her character in That Winter The Wind Blows was a great challenge for her) with The Glory and we all know what happened!
I hope she will receive different kind of genre these days, psychological thriller, horror heavy drama etc...something she never done before....I may be a new fan but I'll always root for her!!!
exactly! i hardly read a book twice much less watch a movie twice and certainly not a 16 episode series! i have seen this more than 4x.
And the point is this, it is 100% relatable, love can be slow and hard and messy. this series sold me on kdrama for sure. so refreshing, different from the fluff and unrealistic stories of hollywood which at the end really is mere entertainment.
This was definately more down to earth for every day people.
(of course i cant deny i am totally biased here cos i love the series so much)

I can watch "Boyfriend" over and over again; it's like zoning out listening to a beautiful romantic symphony where not a single note is redundant. In this drama, from every nuance of facial expressions, the setting of the scenes, to the ingenious transitions between scenes, everything is purposeful. The music is less overpowering and more illustrative in a nice way. A true masterpiece!

It's always difficult for me to find a kdrama that really makes my heart flutter since the first episode.. This is why I always need a long break after finishing a drama, because I can never start a new one that would be as good as the previous I'd watched. But this one.. OH MY GOD.. I am just in love. I think Korean culture is not favoring relationship between old woman and young man. Yet when you watch this drama, you can’t really tell the age difference between SHK and PBG, especially SHK’s beauty in such a way that she is ageless and PBG is so matured in his acting.

I've been kdrama fan since 2014 but I stop watching kdrama because some kdrama is exhausting and Stressful 😆
But then I watch the clip the scene where park bogum is drunk, the funny scene where his Tie has a zipper.. i hooked up that part so i decided to watch.. I don't Hesitate to watch and I don't regret to watch this.. there is so much lesson about life and Love.. THIS IS SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL KDRAMA THAT I'VE EVER WATCH... The plot is different.. They encounter is really like real life?? Something like that because its really different (myopinion).... and also the Characters personality is really out of the drama world.... IM PROUD THAT I REALLY WATCH THIS DRAMA..... I will definitely recommend this on my friends and Family!!!
