My friend, by now you realize why The Beatles are considered The Greatest Musical Group...EVER. Nobody else comes close.
The Beatles variety in their types of songs are a unmatched in Rock.
@@richardeast3328 The Stones have a lot of variety, but nobody can match The Beatles for surprising everyone with new tunes.
Their evolution throughout the years is unmatched.
Sir Paul was once asked what it was like to be in the greatest band ever. He said something like, you must be mistaking me for someone else, I was never a member of ZZ Top. Lol
@@TheHandyman777 I recorded ZZ Top in 2018, videos on my channel are great.
In the late 60s and early 70s, the term "heavy" meant super cool.
Ringo is never mentioned with the greatest drummers of all time, he absolutely should be.
The definition of HEAVY.
Paul kills it on the bass here. So goddamn good
This album is his pinnacle as the Beatles' bassist. He just shines.
Nobody will ever come close to The Beatles. Sheer genius.
John's playing lead while singing. That's why it's so tight.
While the "I Want You" part is a very bluesy, soulful song, the "She's So Heavy" part is somewhat of a proto doom metal song. It doesnt have the same distortion that metal has, but it sure does have the feeling. Especially the outro with the constant buildup of white noise, it feels like the end of the world. Definitely one of their best.
And then the abrupt ending, like you've just fallen off the edge of the world.
If you want to hear more "heavy" try their " Helter Skelter". Some say it was the start of heavy metal.
@@guyray1504 Thank you for the suggestion, but I've already heard all of their albums. Helter Skelter is one of my favorites, simply amazing.
The first time I heard this song was when me and my friends were partying in the mountains. I had an 8 track tape player in my car, and thought that it ate the tape at the end of the song!🤣
The Beatles are Gods gift!✌🏻❤️
You’ve really got to hear the magic that is side two. Begin with Because and don’t stop the music until the very end. Several songs run together so listen to them as intended…you’ll be blown away!
Yes! Excellent advice... 'Because' is such an incredibly beautiful song which always tends to get missed with people just going straight to the medley. Possibly in my top ten Beatles songs, although having any sort of top ten is impossible with so many goodies, from their grandest masterpieces like Day in the Life and Tomorrow Never Knows to small but perfectly formed treasures like Julia/ I Will, Dear Prudence and Martha My Dear, to choose from.
Imagine being 9 years old and your mother comes home from work, Rickenbacker Guitars, Santa Ana Calif, having assembled two new guitars for The Beatles and watching them use the instruments on the next Ed Sullivan Show. That was me. George's 360-12 string... John's 325-6 string. can be seen on the show. She made four guitars for them John's 325-12 string and Paul's 4001 Left handed Bass, used on this song and many others for iconic bands of that era.
A great memory and connection to have.
@@Llydrwydd 10 years later in 1974 I built two Fender Rhodes Electric Piano's for Apple Records and John Lennon. My mother and I are the only Mother/Son that both made an instrument for the greatest band in history.
@@AliasMark69 That's an impressive legacy.
@@Llydrwydd I built the piano used on "Time"- Pink Floyd and hundreds more.
@@AliasMark69thank you, that song is one of the most important songs in my life
It's definitely one of my favourites but I don't think many would describe it as their best song. Not because it's not a fantastic track, it's just because they produced groundbreaking masterpiece after groundbreaking masterpiece, after groundbreaking masterpiece... They're the biggest music artists in history for good reason and they completely changed the musical (and social) landscapre forever, whilst achieving unparalleled success! Lennon and McCartney are commonly acknowledged as the greatest songwriters of the modern era and George Harrison was right up there with them. The fact that all 3 were in the same band is just insane! Artists who sell over a hundred thousand records are counted amongst the biggest artists of all-time. The Beatles are estimated to have sold somewhere between 600 million and 1.5 BILLION records! They had 34 top 10 singles and 20 number 1 singles, in the US alone! They also had 25 number 1 albums! These records would also stay in the charts for months. At one point they had all of the top 5 singles, at the same time! Their cultural and social impact was unprecedented too!
Tl/dr - No other artists, solo or group, comes close! For amazing album chart feats, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are closest. Probably the 3 greatest music groups in history but the Beatles are undoubtedly number 1, on a whole host of different levels! :)
Agreed 100% Well said.
This song just shows that even the deep cuts off their albums were masterpieces too. Imo every album they released from 1965-69 was flawless (Let It Be if George Martin produced it would've been another one), and that's not even taking into account all the groundbreaking songs they released in the early days as well. If I could take any discography on a desert island, the Beatles would no doubt be #1.
It is my best song!
JM, there is not a bad song on "Abby Road", it's a masterpiece. You need to buy it and listen to it in one go and realize it for what it is...the best Beatle Album...
The greatest WTF are they gonna do next album. I get rockin' with a beat and it changes... genious.
👌🤝❤
Sun King ?
Paul’s bass guitar is mesmerizing.
One of the all time great albums.
Ringo is just a Star here on this track!
John Paul George Ringo.... 1,000 + years from now those names will still be well known as the best musical band ever.
You have to listen to the whole album… to get the vibe…
True with every Beatles album.
Happiness is a warm gun is an amazing song
Every single note, of every musician there, is pure Diamond. Mezmerasing !!°
The Beatles are the ultimate.
It never gets old! John!!! Billy Preston on keys! John wrote for Yoko...
Greatest legendary ever.. Beatlemania forever 🙏♥️💪
The most mesmerizing song ever, PURE GENIUS
Yep! Definitely one of my personal favs! AGREED!
“Because” is one of my favorite Beatles songs. It’s true that whatever Beatles song you’re listening to is their best.
Just when we thought we had them figured out they would go and change it up. They kept us guessing and hanging on every magical note.
Any day now... Santana - "Soul Sacrifice". Live at Woodstock FULL VERSION 9+ mins. You'll see why.
Goodness! The Beatles never disappointed.
They had no end to this song. They were listening to the tape playing on and on like we're hearing it.
John picked up a pair of scissors and cut the tape.
They decided they had the end to their song.
This song is at the top of my list with at least several dozen other amazing song Beatle songs!!! 👌👌
This whole album is brilliant as is soo many other albums they made!!! 👌👌
With George Martin producing, they were GENIUS!!!!👍👍👌👌✌✌😃😃
The Beatles catalog is so vast and different, it's hard to say what is their "best". I love "Come Together" off of Abbey Road as well as several songs off their "Revolver" album. Looking forward to seeing many more reactions of The Beatles by you. Take care, your friends from northeast Florida
Billy Preston ,John wanted him to be the 5th Beatles. However Paul said ,its hard enough with us 4. He was right Too many of them are gone now. So happy Ringo and Paul are still here and touring. Amazing.
Those of us who grew up listening to them have different reasons for a song being great. We can remember where we were and what was going on in our lives when we hear it.
In 2023, what makes a Beatles song great has changed from what was new and exciting in the 60's-70's to what stands the test of time and resonates with today's listeners . A lot of reactioners on YT are finding all this great music in one huge dump where we got it metered out to us over decades. It must be overwhelming 😲
One of the best from them Loved it for 50 years play it weekly...Abbey Road. Was great to listen with whoever you wanted so bad lol!
It's definitely my favorite to play. All the different guitar parts, how heavy it is, the bass. the bass.
Who else could write a song with only a few redundant words that is totally amazing!?
That ending puts a brain where it can feel colors. Id like to think it goes in forever. Yes it is mind blowing
The older I get, the more my favourites change. Right now, I rate this song as my #1.
Glad you are listening. Now you now what us old heads where listening to ad children. Keep up the good listening. Yes is a great band too. Yours is no discrace. Great piece of music.
Most people would say any of their songs is "One Of Their Best Songs" If it's a John Lennon tune you know it's going to be good stuff. This makes 116 in your folder on my desktop. Cool
Yeah... You GET it...
This song made me trip when I was a child
A song to get one's anger out! Always loved it!
Right, completely different level!
Picking the best song of the Beatles is like picking yr favorite grain of sand on the beach. This is definitely one of my faves though, the Beatles and in particularly Lennon on this were at the pinnacle of their creativity. It's almost fitting that Abbey Road was their last album because I can't see how they could've gotten any better.
Fave album. My Dad bought it on 8 track and we played it in our Gran Torino two door muscle car, better known as our family car back in the 70's.
The best Beatles song is the one you are currently listening to.
It's my favorite Beatles song
Every Beatle song from the second half of their run is their best song, especially from Abbey Road.
You have appreciated music that is approaching 60 years old. Love your intelligent reaction. Thanks.
Love the deliberate mixing of I want you and I'll haunt you.
This is one of their many great songs. Especially if you’re listening to it when you’re stoned. 😎 hard to believe it was recorded 50 years ago.
Is this the first use of white noise and dead stop, what a jolt.
I love listening to the whole side of that album, goes perfectly together
Abbey Road & Rubber Soul are my favourite Beatles Albums !! 💓☮️ I always enjoy the reactions of younger generations !! I lived through Beatlemania in the 60’s & they did change the world with their sounds & lyrics. I still mourn John Lennon & George Harrison’s passing, way too young 😢. This song does go on! My favourite song is In My Life from the Rubber Soul Album 💎 Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦☮️
No one will EVER compare
I love how I can tell this is your first time and your enjoyment. Thanks. This was my third album I ever bought.
happiness is a warm gun is my favorite bealtes song
Simply incredible.
Liked and subscribed my guy. Loved this natural reaction, not over the top
All the Beatles songs are different and awesome! No bad music from them 🔥👵🏼☮️💜
The Gem among Beatle Jams. John Lennon puts full emotion into this song and it shows. It's raw, it's hungry (for Yoko), it's pain, It's fear, it's love, it's need, it's more emotion....all stirred up into a mind bending powerful song. Simple lyrics....John didn't need but about 15 words to convey his desires (She's so heavy = She's so mind-blowing - craving her emotionally, sexually, mentally, etc). Those intense John Lennon screams say it all. Great reaction!
Good reaction.Beatles is the greatest of all time
Man, this is my favourite track, any where in the universe! Glad you liked it :)
MASTERPIECE!!!!!!
Hey, hi. For me, it's impossible to pick a favorite/best Beatles song. There are sooo many. Happy travels down the rabbit hole. ✌️👵
Just another example of them doing whatever the hell they felt like and having it come out gold. It's a pattern.
For people to truly understand what The Beatles did and who they were, they need to know what came before them. Sure most of their music still holds up today which is incredible in itself but from the moment they started writing their own songs and recording together, they elevated the world of rock and roll and pop music to a whole different level. Each successive album they released upped the ante and pulled all the other musical artists along with them. They not only wrote some of the greatest songs in history, but also created new recording techniques and musical genres. They never rested on their laurels or repeated the sounds that they made popular previously. Every album was groundbreaking and hugely influential. To discover The Beatles music today is an amazing experience but to have been there at the beginning and been pulled along by it is another thing completely and a phenomenon that will likely never happen again.
This song gets my vote for Paul's Best Bass work.... Rickenbacker 4001.... My mother assembled it.
The long outro to me sounds like a guy fell out of an airplane from 30,000 feet and is screaming as he falls to the ground. You know how it ends.
One their most beautiful songs by John, is "Because". check it out.
You will not find any better talent than the first gentleman of rock-n-roll!! Ringo rocks!!!
Yes, it is one of their greatest. If you can see their rooftop performance from 1969, that is also among the greats. Another song that is groundbreaking is the 1966 “Tomorrow Never Knows.”
Ned from Spain here to check out your reaction and I was not disappointed. There are so many Beatles songs in different styles and vibes it may take you awhile to absorb it all. The great thing about them is not only their abilities to compose and play but they picked up on what was cresting on the next wave, like early Fleetwood Mac, Procol Harum and even Frank Zappa. Ringo is playing mostly tom toms and ride cymbal, the guitars n bass sound sludgy and distorted with some throat ripping vocals and rising white noise. Some say it's even proto Doom, like Black Sabbath and their offspring. Fearless is how bands used to roll and their fans loved them for it.
You’re gonna love Come Together on the same album. It’s amazingly cool and timeless. Have the lyrics with you.
Definitely, top 5 for me :)
There's no neutral rating for "best". It's a very interesting track in the Beatles discography, also very unusual and "new" for 1969, which once again underscores the incredible versatility of the "Fab Four".
No two Beatles songs are the same in this gigantic discography of theirs
Great reaction! Thank you
It's a killer tune alright.
WOW you have your 4K
This and "Come Together"...
Abbey Road is an awesome album. Please also do "Because" from the same album.
It is masterful how the guitar exactly shadows shadows Lennon's voice. But this song has some of the best bass playing by Paul, some of the best drumming by Ringo, George's lead is incredible, and Billy Preston's organ is perfect
One of the last songs played together, but one of the best
So different than anyone else, a new level, thinking about this was produced over 50 years ago
Man you haven't finished listening to your new favorite Beatles song, continue your reaction and you'll see
Beatles!!!!!
To answer your question: I remember Beatles breakthrough. I have heard all standard albums many times. This song 100ds of times. Yes, maybe! At least one of the top 5 (a few more on Revolver). It combines creating new technology without getting boring in the long run, excellent production, and in a way the last Beatles song. And Beatles had most inpact on the music during the 60s and still a large influence. But I like all kind of (good) music.
Easy to tell your enjoying it dude😅
Dude: Watch Across the Universe. It's a film set during Vietnam that employs Beatles' songs to move story along. The actors sing all the songs. You'll really like it as it has songs, Vietnam war, psychedelics and great visuals. This is one of the movie's songs.
Definitely overdue to fire up the VR730 and learn the organ parts. Swooshy wind sounds from another keyboard of course. A tune that absolutely takes your brain anywhere than where you are with the close of an eye especially the 2nd half. Unbelievable.
listen to this on acid what a trip
You have created an excellent playlist for the master story teller with some of his best songs. Some must be added. You want to add these two next.... Bob Dylan - Simple Twist of Fate (Official Audio).... Bob Dylan - Forever Young (Official Audio)
A McCartney masterpiece on vocals and bass. Add in Billy Preston's keyboards, the other Beatles along with (at the time) new Moog synthesizers, it gets all the better. One of many gems in the Beatles catalog. If you like the harder rock vibe, try Helter Skelter.
You can tell it's about to stop when the drums Fade Out and it's just the whirling noise.
♥ Still suggesting The Beatles - Norwegian Wood
❤❤
Been a minute since I heard this, nice choice.
Have you heard " Helter Skelter"? If not, you must, immediately!!
brilliant
They have too many good songs to choose!
