Ultimately, the Beatles didn't belong to a genre. They were a genre.
the final section is like mystical ecstasy. desire is an endless spiral
This the The Beatles last recorded album. It’s called Abbey Road because the recording studios at EMI was on Abbey Road. The zebra stripes crosswalk is right in front of the recording studio. The EMI studios (a subsidiary of Columbia Records in L. A.) has since changed its name to Abbey Road Recording Studio. The Beatles recorded most of their albums at this studio in London because they had the best investment in state of the art equipment. Many of the greatest bands and orchestras have since recorded there: Pink Floyd and Moody Blues most famous recordings, just to name two! People come from around the world to have their picture taken walking across that crosswalk…such a historic area!
John Lennon is playing lead guitar on this track. John was a better guitarist than people give him credit for.
John Lennon - vocals, backing vocals, lead multitrack guitar, Moog synthesizer
George Harrison - vocal accompaniment, multi-track guitar lead
Paul McCartney - backing vocals, bass
Ringo Starr - drums, conga
Additional musicians
Billy Preston - Hammond organ
strong music. heart felt. no flash in pan welcome to the planet.
Among other things, the Beatles also distinguished themselves by generating excellent, top-notch recording and production quality.
Thumbs up !
The name of the album is Abbey Road. I’ll let you guess where the photo was taken.
If you look on the left, the low white/gray wall that runs until the next post, is where the EMI recording studio is. That’s where they recorded almost all their albums and singles.
Originally the album was going to be called Everest and they were going to do a photo shoot there. Then they came to their senses and said let’s just go outside and cross the road. Paul took his sandals off.
They wete all so good....I am a musician and i just found it demoralizing how good they were.
The album and street are called ABBEY ROAD and originally the studio was EMI Studios, but later it was changed to ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS.
The original vinyl mix from 1969 sounds just as good as this one.
That is about the most awesome outro in rock history. And yup, beatles did it first❤️🤘. My mind just goes blank
The Beatles only recorded magic....its quite amazing.
Thanks for the reaction. Really appreciated it. I find it interesting that your generation is amazed by the ”transitions” as you call them. Is today’s music so one level/monotonous that different sections in older songs shock you? Songs have mostly been written like that otherwise it can be boring.
New Subscriber here and a life long Beatles fan. Let me suggest a song from the mid '60's called If I Fell by the Beatles. It is a ballad but should give you an idea of how diverse the Beatles could actually be. It is one of their short but very sweet songs released during their "touring phase" after which they decided to stop concerts altogether in order to concentrate more on the music. Just one of the many reasons the Beatles are still great today!😮😊
Best!!!!
Great reaction

Check out Yer Blues and Oh Darling, Across the Universe and Blackbird, She’s Leaving Home and In My Life if you want to get a quick understanding of the Beatles genius and diversity of their catalogue. There will remain literally dozens of diverse masterpieces for you to further explore. There is a reason why, more than any other band in history, they are considered the greatest.
Please react to Beatles - I've got a feeling (Live on rooftop)
And what do you think of : Don't let me down, or Hey Bulldog, Yer Blues.
billiant
The pic was taken outside of Abbey Road Studios as they were entering
Believe it or not, that is Abbey Road they're walking across. Just outside the recording studio.
Listen to the 'ABBEY ROAD MEDLEY' to see (or hear) how the Beatles said GOODBYE!!
Paul McCartney’s bass playing- second to none!
Good choice, buddy. it's all a learning curvature with Beatles. But don't stop so much (:
Billy Preston played the organ on it but not credited
Fun reaction 😊 Keep exploring!
> when you pause to say something, always jump back 10 seconds when you start up again
Listen to the track, come together, it's top.
Get really stoned and lay back in your couch and listen to this... It will blow your mind.
Groundbreaking for it's time.
Still groundbreaking today.
Groundbreaking for the future...
More beatles pls

Thunbs up
I'm guessing that this is a legend you've long heard of?
Abbey Road
Wikipedia
John Lennon’s guitar work is very innovative and experimental. Arguably, the most underrated greatest guitar player ever. Every song the Beatles did was different and innovative. John Lennon!
Remasteration.
They are not ‘known for being a rock band ‘
The remastered versions are a travesty to us old timers (I am 75). The original mix is far superior IMO. The Beatles do NOT need a remaster. The originals are just fine and much more personal and organic.
side 2 is a bunch of unfinished songs hodge/podged together - just to finish the contract !!
Yep, it's called progressive rock!
That's one way to describe the GREATEST medley of all time....
‘you can hear every instrument playing’ bucko wtf are on ofc this is real instruments every sound is coming from an instrument played by a musician. these new generation really has lost touch with actual talent jesus christ
Sometimes instruments kind of blend together, intentionally or not
MUSIC DOES NOT REQUIRE A VIDEO!!!! IN CLASSIC ROCK THERE WERE NO VIDEOS PEOPLE KNEW HOW TO JUST LISTEN AND THAT IS BETTER BETTER BETTER VIDEOS ADDED LATER ARE A BIG DISTRACTION HUGE DISTRACTION NOT MEANT TO BE THERE THE YOUNGER SCREEN HEADS OF THIS WORLD THAT KNOW NOTHING BUT SHORT BLURBS IN FRONT OF A DAMN SCREEN THEIR WHOLE LIVES ARE STUNTED STUNTED STUNTED AND MANY MANY HAVE THE ATTENTION SPAN OF GNATS
Jesus.....Listen to the whole song first! When you break it up like that you destroy the whole rhythm of the song and it's surprising ending impact...STOP IT!!!
