You are very welcome! He has been my friend since "Knights of the Sound Table" album which was his first album as a member of Cameo. You should look him up on fb. He is a WONDERFUL and cool guy to know. Keep jammin'!
Man. Sick Tap and slide skills. I am digging this style. I have been telling people that Cameo has some really good guitar solo work in it's songs. You are proof and thanks for the lesson. Awesome!
Thanks for the tutorial. One of my favorite "Old School Cool" songs. I'm doing guitar covers, and wanted to do the song, but no way could I do the guitar solo without a tutorial. So now I'm good to go. I love when someone gives every detail in a tutorial. That's gonna be fun. Great Job, Thanks!!!!
I use the guitar in my compositions , I got a tell ya did not see this coming your teaching and myself practicing by George I think I’ve got it. Thanks
i saw dave Brubeck back in the day they were doing some awesome wonderful jazz stuff and in the middle of it ..they broke into about 10 bars of "candy" and everybody loved it and went wild..then back to take five or whatever. ...genius
Thanks for sharing this. The music video for the song is posted on CZcams. What you show is pretty close what touring/session guitarist Pat Buchanan mimes in the video. Cameo's Charlie Singleton and Pat Buchanan are both credited on the "Word Up" album but I believe Pat plays the solo for Candy. The is also an outro solo on the full length version of the song.
Justin thanks bro you saved me got band rehearsal and guest what one the songs is candy. I was like man got to get that solo and low and behold there you were.
That's one the best shortest guitar solos from that era. And you nailed it. Perfectly. You are the man Justin!!!!
Justin, Charlie Singleton himself gave you thumbs up on your video today on facebook. Great job!

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH! You don't how many years I've been looking for someone actually playing it! Now I see how the tap is done :')
Couldn't find a video so decided to make one himself. What a guy 💪👍

It sounded hard when I heard the song, but you tutoring us through it made it so much better!

Yeah, I love how Pat Buchanan jumps in, runs through the solo, then looks up like: "And how do ya like that . . . bitches."
