On some Square games you can export the save files from the Switch and copy them to the local save folder on your PC to use with Steam. I was able to do this to transfer my Octopath save files between my Switch and my Steam account.

Sys-ftpd saved my life and hassle when it comes to taking out the sd card over and over. If you aren't wirelessly transferring files to your switch, you're missing out.

The last time I tried, Checkpoint didn’t compatible with the latest firmware
Jksv is better some save games files are not copied on checkpoint, so you might lose your save games, I made this mistake and I regret a loot now

Can you do this without using the SD Card directly? I don't mind buying a card reader but if this works by connecting directly the switch to pc via DBI MTP process I tried it many times but it never works on my switch.

it is not essential because you always need to run the hb menu in full memory ( non applet mode) or the jksv won't run.
@@sthetixofficial Hey thank you, I tried it now. Unfortunately I am getting a 404 Google, non authorised error. I suppose it is possible google no longer approve of it for security? even though I saw a notification that it says nintendo switch tried to connect to me google. I tried it with the full app, since applet mode would indeed crash. It let me login and all but in the end it is a 404.

@@sthetixofficial Ok, there might be a step I have wrong. I must admit that the step about adding a test user, is somewhat confusing. That could be where I did something wrong. I did add user, but did not name it.
I gather that webdav is optional? (could not get this to work) webdav I am for sure doing it wrong.
You don't have to take your SD card out. Just connect the Switch via usb c to a computer, and you can transfer files between both systems through Hekate

Just curious, because now im installing nsp game using the usbc fdd without remove the mmc from console. I Dowload the game from pc/mac, move the game on fdd, and i install the game from DB Installer. No reboot at all.

You need to run the CFW on the sysmmc to extract the save data.

no bro, you need to run the JKSV under the sysmmc and extract the data from the stock firmware. then run the emummc and import it. same concept.

I was hesitant to go on the SysNAND with CFW because I didn’t want to get banned, but I just downloaded the cloud save from SysNAND, then cut the Internet off, booted into CFWSysNAND, ran JKSV, and then opened the EmuNAND and imported it from there. It worked great! Thanks so much for your tutorial and prompt responses!!!!

But apparently it is not possible, you have to hack the first switch, so maybe the second safetly hacked switch is useless then.

extract the save from the emummc, you will have a folder called JKSV. Then launch the sysmmc, and run the JKSV again and restore the data.

you can extract the save data with JKSV and import it to another profile.

for ACNH, you need to dump either the Device data or the BCAT data.
Later, you can restore it to the emummc or another profile

@@mosthated8848 Just move the save to the sysnand using jksv and do it on airplane mode , make sure you have a save beforehand on your sysnand then move it and transfer it to the new OLED using the Nintendo data transfer tool and you should be good to go

logically do you want to risk yourself using an improper DIY chip? the firmware itself has a lot of bugs and it is not maintained neatly / properly . It has a lot of patches and many people have killed their console because of it.

@sthetix I agree many people have killed there console but that's inexperienced people installing. The same thing can be said about the hwfly and nx. Tons of people have killed there consoles attempting to install the modchip. The chips aren't killing the console, the installer is.
I dont believe you have access to the code to know if it's neatly or disorganized. Patches and updates are a good thing not a bad thing. To state they are killing consoles without even testing it seems as if you are against it.
Seems to me you must be receiving support from these companies take make such claims without even testing. Smh

i dont recommend it at this stage. You can see the chip is still in its improper form , lots of wires, if you short it, you might kill the console. better wait or use the hwfly or instinct-nx for now.

Greetings Sthetix, in the past I had previously used your guides to install CFW into a 2DS-XL I had, but also used it to install it on a former friends 3DS.
Now I have a N-Switch console, Model XKW-1, I know we cannot install CFW on it without a mod chip, in the future can you keep us updated? getting back to installing CFW on consoles, but I really don't want to put a mod chip, which requires soldering into a console.
