Chinese Brush Painting for Beginners - Bamboo Fundamentals Part 1 - Bamboo Leaves

  • Typically, we start by painting the trunk before adding the bamboo leaves. However, tackling the leaves can be trickier than the trunk. Since the leaves are what you see first when you look at the plant, starting with the trunk can sometimes create challenges in making the leaves appear in front. We'll be using Ning Yeh’s time-tested techniques from “Chinese Brush Painting: An Instructional Guide - Gold Edition” to not only master leaf arrangement but also grasp the essence of the bamboo leaf.
