- This short video demonstrates the use of the unique Garrett Ground Balance Window system, which adjusts the ground balance of a prospecting detector to allow for varying ground mineralisation. Thanks for watching and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

Thank you for sharing with us.I hope you have a great week and good luck to you.
Great info thanks warren
Nice ground instructions. On my Minelab, I don't ground balance for a reason, if I can help it.
Ok. Does using the ground balance window have an advantage over using say slow tracking in varying ground. And does it affect sensitivity? Here in vic we have old timer's heaps that can be pipe clay right next to red clay with iron stone and or pizolite.
Yes any time you set tracking or open the Ground Balance Window you potentially lose sensitivity on tiny gold. I am familiar with the Central Vic situation with the red/purple clays in pipeclay and ironstone matrix which quickly changes the ground balance. These conditions change either vertically as you dig or horizontally as you swing the coil. Generally I would experiment with either setting (or a combination of both) to get the best operation in the ground you are detecting. For me, constant ground balancing with minimal changes to the settings is the answer, you won't ground balance out a metal target. But (theoretically) you could track out a very faint signal if you keep swinging over it with tracking set. I hope this helps mate - feel free to hit me with any more questions! Happy Fossicking! Warren.
@@NQExplorersThanks mate. A long time ML user. Used Garrett Groundhogs back in the 80s. But willing to try new machines on the market. Still have the old Garrett Groundhog for sentimental reasons. Lol
How much your detector sir ang I'm from Philippines and how to buy your detector Garrett ATX plus
Oh my head. I just turn mine on and go. same with my computer. I My brain is a technological wasteland.
