    Good for Hischier to stand up for his teammate. That’s the kind of thing that earns you respect amongst your peers. Not every day you see a #1 overall pick react that way.

    Hischier was very good this game. Scoreboard may have not shown it, but he applied lots of pressure and had some great chances.

    Looked unintentional by Johnson as it looked he was going for the hip check. Just an unfortunate result that caused an injury.
    I could be wrong though...

      Definitely not intentional. You can see on the replay that he was clearly trying to hit him with his shoulder/forearm (you see him follow through even though he didn’t make contact)

    Kyle Palmeiri is a game-time decision for the next game. As for Nico Hischier, good for him to do what he did and also smart enough to not take a penalty to negate the power play.

    TBF the title is kind of click bait... I don't think Johnston meant to target his knee... You can clearly see he went for the shoulder check and last second Palmieri tried to get out of the way... Lesson learned: just take the hit.

    Had Palmieri just taken the shoulder hit and not tried to get out of the way he'd of avoided having the knee-on-knee hit. It was just meant to be a regular shoulder hit and the resulting knee contact was unintentional.
