    Wendy, this was such a generous insight into your specific process. I cherish my journal and was so mesmerized by the craftmanship. You make it look so easy. I have tons of old drapery samples laying around our office. The wheels in my mind are turning. Tfs.

    This is great! I am on a budget and don't have a sewing machine. I use tacky glue and then staple around it. But then use e6000 on top of the staples with ribbon to cover it up!

    Thank you Wendy. I have no excuse now not to cover one of my journals. I am fairly new to this as ive said before but I learn quickly. Love your tutorials and easy step by step process. I also love the botanical theme of your journals. I have learnt so much from your tutorials and can now master a flip and tuck pages. As I said ive made a few but haven't finished or covered one as i' still gleaming ideas from you and your peers. I am also inspired by Junk journal junkies and I note all of the names mentioned and try follow up the information. Thank you again.

    Your journals are lovely! And your so lucky to have such an enthusiastic supervisor who always wants to help you work!
    Something you might want to try if you haven't already... try adding a little bit of water into the glue. It will make that glue a little bit thinner and less tacky so you have slightly more time to apply the glue and it will apply more evenly. I hope that makes sense and helps someone.

    Hi Wendy great video, just watched it again, have made my cover, how do you then decorate the inside of the cover, do you put more fabric over the top of the linen or do you start by putting signatures in, these questions might seem silly, x

    • @WendysJournalAdventure
      @WendysJournalAdventure  Před 7 lety +1

      Debbie Ring hi Debbie, I haven't had any issues with the glue gumming up the needle. I do clean the sewing machine surface and wipe off the needle after each cover. I haven't sewn when the cover was completely dry but I have when it was partially dry (after an hour) and there was no problem. I hope that helps ❤️
