How To Lock Photos In Google Photos | Make Your Photos Private In Locked Folder

Do you have sensitive photos and videos stored on your Google Drive? Want to hide them?
You are in luck my dear friends, as Google Photos is bringing an option to hide and protect specific photos and videos.
How to Setup a Locked Folder
When using the feature for the first time you will have to set up a Locked Folder.
Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone and tap on the ‘Library’ tab at the bottom.
Now, select the ‘Utilities’ option at the top of the screen.
Inside Utilities, you should see a new ‘Locked Folder’ option. Tap on it to get started.
On the next screen, select the ‘Set up Locked Folder’ option.
You will need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete setting up the Locked folder properly.
If you didn’t have a screen lock set up on your phone, you will be asked to set it up since it’s a requirement for the Locked Folder to work.
That’s it.
How To Move Existing Photos Or Videos To A Locked Folder
Select the photos and/or videos you want to move to a Locked Folder.
Tap the three dots present at the top right - select 'Move to Locked Folder' - 'Move' to confirm.
On Screen Remember doing so will delete any back-ups of these files on the cloud.
