You're not supposed to peel it when it starts, you wait a couple more days, and soak your feet for 15 minutes every day to make it peel faster. Her feet were sore because she peeled it too early. You're only supposed to peel the skin that is off the foot, if it hasn't detached you leave it alone.

The skin on the bottom of your feet is thick for a reason. Do not do this to your feet. Your feet are in constant contact with the floor and there's a reason why you wash DOWN (germs!!!!). If your skin is unusually rough it's because your shoes are causing friction on your feet. Your body is providing you an all natural barrier to infectious microorganisms and you you want to peel it off?! You should always check with a podiatrist before you do something like this. He will tell you not to do it!

This works best if you SOAK your feet before and after for 15mins and then soak every day until it's done peeling. Also, your feet will be sore if you peel it yourself, so just leave it be.
Blue Cross Cuticle remover from Sally's Beauty Supply, blue Listerine mouthwash, a few drops of Fawn dish liquid and vinegar work very well. a quarter to a half a cup of all ingredients with a cup of very hot water, soaking for 30 mins. works wonders!

i actually did this a day before I got inducted in Sigma Alpha Pi.. I put on my black heels and sat in the car and all of a sudden my skin was coming off and I felt so insecure because I thought everyone would think I had leprosy! But it was just so good to finally get home and peel all that gunk off!
I live in Singapore! They have a few brands for these feet peels and they peeled off instantly for me! Didn't even have to wait 5-7 days. But I think it helps if you wash your feet with warm water.
