Matt Chapman is easily in the top three third baseman in the league and if you're only looking at his defense, he's in the top three of all time. With that being said we obviously have to look at his baseball glove and figure out how he wheres it and breaks it in. Chapman uses the MC26 which is simply a 1787 with a cooler look and name. Matt Chapman actually used a Rawlings glove before his Wilson and he seems to be loving his Wilson. - Sport

Chappy is the best 3rd baseman hands down. When he came to Toronto he was so happy because he watched how that team reacted with each other last year and said in an interview he wanted that camaraderie… The weekend he showed up in Toronto he went and bought a house there and said “ this is my place”

The first thing I do when I get a new glove is remove the heel pad - allows the leather to stay firm all over while providing a quick break in and heel flexibility. Tedious process but works like a charm! Glove still sits open when sitting on its side!
I like having a thicker heel pad but I know some other people who do that too
Nice leather baseball gloves and mitts are real joys in life.

I am an A's fan and I love Chappy! For those who don't know him because he plays for the A's and you go to sleep at 10PM EST... you are missing one of the best defensive players!. He is literally in the outfield playing 3rd base and the silent communication between Chapman and Olson (1st base) is a segment that needs to be addressed.

For outfield. Should you flare the whole thumb or just the end? For max performance.
I’d say you should do something in between. You want the whole thumb to flare but I also like having the extra curl at the end. But you do what you want I’m the end!
