Awe dude don't ditch the Indianapolis video. I got 5 people to watch it and I've watched it 3 times myself! It's single handedly the best video on the web about that horrific event. You did an amazing job. 👏 I was crying , cussing , throwing Mountain Dew bottles at the wall. Don't ever take that down.
Absolutely agree with you. He did a great job on the USS Indy. Like you, I've seen it multiple times...I think I've watched it 5 or 6 times. I thoroughly enjoy stuff like that especially when they stick to the facts.
Thanks for covering John Petty's fatality. He was a chiropractor in my town. He was an avid scuba diver and known for his photography. Why they would have a night dive and not keep people together is crazy.

I can't imagine not seeing Shark's happen it's by far one of my favorite channel's especially when I'm working on a project or cooking dinner. I'm always running out to tell my wife stuff about the show as I'm watching it when I'm cooking dinner lol. But yeah CZcams is making it very hard for channel's to exist anymore. Many time's I don't even get a notification I gotta check the channel daily too make sure I haven't missed an episode. I wish you all the best and hopefully nothing changes and you can continue on with these shark history stories and current stories because you're attitude and the way you tell these stories is what makes me love this channel. You and Mrballen are my 2 go too channel's always and you both have great energy and great story telling ability.

Dear Hal: Thanks for explanation of this new spate of “Shark Shorts”!! It was confusing to me at first! I enjoy the switch ups of hearing you relate stories from all over & from various time periods! I like the end pieces whether it’s “What were you thinking?” Or “What for dinner?” Etc!! Keep up the great work & I know your core of faithful watchers will stand by you & your wonderful stories!! The longer Podcast format seems to be the major direction most You Tubers are going in!! You Tube is exactly as you describe them but every other Chanel I watch routinely here seems to nod at the “shorts” format but are adding a longer Podcast format as well!!

I have a Massive Collection of Shark Related Books and (Videos,DVDs,etc..) yet I find your show to be more in depth and informative than any of the other outlets I have read or watched on the subject! Your USS.Indianapolis Videos should be nominated for an award! I just want to take a moment to say thank you for all that you do and you will have my support in whatever direction or outlet you take the Show! Just don't give up the fight,because the loss of this Show would be a travesty and a great loss for people such as myself who have a love and fascination for these animals and their behavior if it were to cease!
Agreed. Hal Is The Absolute Best of The Best. It's the radical liberals purposely screwing with him. Whatever they put their hands on, or have anything to do with, goes to shit and falls apart, at the expense of other people's enjoyment. When they say something is Good, if they were honest and had any type of humility, they would be honest enough to back up that statement and say "It's Good For Them, and they don't give to shits what other people like. I'd have alot more respect for them, if they did it that way, because atleast they would be being Openly 100% Honest. It's the same mentality with them, be it politics or anything else in their life, and the sad part is they get away with it, and nothing Ever gets done about it, which is why they're so cocky, because they never have to worry about having consequences for their actions. I watch all your episodes Hal, I love this channel. I'm working back through your catalog of videos to make sure I watch em all. I'm at the Indianapolis episodes right now, I'll be watching them after this is over. Sharks are my favorite animals after cats (all cats, tigers are my favorite), so this channel talks about one of my favorite subjects to learn about. Like I've said before, I watch Shark Week every year because I love these animals lol. Threshers are my favorite, followed very closely by the bulls and great hammerheads

You should be very proud of the Indianapolis videos! They were excellent! These companies just never seem to learn and can't justify their jobs if they're not constantly destroying the success of others even if it ends up destroying themselves. They always have to copy another site that they see as competition rather than just improving their own niche. They only want the biggest money earners and screw the rest until the rest leave and they go broke.

Hal, You got my support forever! I absolutely love your shows. You talked about when you were young. You got really interested in sharks at a preteen / teenage age and I did the same thing. My father bought the book shark attacks and I ended up picking it up and reading it. At the age of 13. I was hooked for life! Some of those attacks were just brutal.
The worst shark attack I ever heard of was a bunch of young men in the water in a boat and one either fell off or couldn't get up fast enough and was attacked by a large shark. The entire group tried to help, but the shark literally ripped him to pieces in front of the entire group. I don't think you've covered that yet. I remember I couldn't think of anything else for a week or two after watching a video on it a few years back. I hope in the future you're able to find and cover that one.
Hal, you’re the best. My wife and I enjoy your channel it’s informative, entertaining and addictive. What makes it is your delivery. It’s like listening to a guy while playing euchre and having beer telling a great story. You have a unique style that has humor and empathy combined. The seriousness of a tragedy is related with respect…and then “what were you thinking” or “you’re an idiot” pops up. Keep it up. Fans from Texas who grew up in Michigan.

Oh, I'm a retired RN. I think I remember you asking a few things. 1. Why a tourniquet is released? - Usually every 10 minutes In order to save tissue that is still viable (alive) below the tourniquet site. You have to relieve the pressure for at least 30 sec (maybe more depending on tissue involved) so the blood can get oxygen to it so it will survive. 2. - It was either, and I'm paraphrasing, "couldn't get an IV started" or "Died even though they started fluids"? or both. I could be wrong. After a certain amount of blood is lost, the veins collapse, and unless you can get a central line in the body, it won't happen. Even then, they will probably die. After you body loses 2 liters of blood you will die whether you are in the best hospital in the world or not and get blood. Your brain and organs have shut down. Sorry about the long comments, hope they helped, and didn't just add to the "noise" of the internet.

I think the body automatically shuts off the pain from shock. But I agree, how odd that we hear these stories where they're bitten horribly and think it's a friend or something not serious.
Can’t understand why CZcams would do this to you, you are informing the public about the stories of these shark attacks and how some survive and others don’t. CZcams should keep your time slot while others on CZcams don’t deserve to be on there. Keep up the good work

It might be a good idea to make longer videos with multiple attacks, but breaking the individual stories up and making them into shorts. Best of both worlds.

The comments from interested viewers who watch the content should be what is important, not what some algorithm says a content creator should post. I also know that not everyone who subscribes to a channel does so with the intent of watching the content. I don't know why that happens.

I've heard that in some cases when sharks bite the victim the victim feel little to no pain. It's been suggested that there is something in their bite that causes a numbing effect.

@@paulaschroder6270 Wouldn't the bite would occur prior to the adrenalin rush? Two minutes is a long time. It may have the effect of masking the pain some moments after, but I thought we were discussing the phenomenon of apparently feeling no pain at the moment of the bite. The commentor was postulating there might be some sort of anesthetic involved which I would doubt.

You both have such great content and you work hard to bring us great videos with original content.
