Were you extremely young/not born at the time? Apart from only Keane & Giggs ManUtd's starting lineup was normal for 1996/97. The likes of May, Butt & Solskjaer all played more than Scholes that season but Scholes still came on. Solskjaer was top scorer in his first season which was that one. Poborsky wasn't bad at all and contributed quite a bit to the team winning the title although he was only at ManUtd a year & a half.
