Good morning for a little camp fire. You make some amazing content. Thank you!
Thanks Ray!
@@OutsidewithTom no worries Tom. I was making boilies while watching you video… lol
"Look at a Trout wrong and it will die" How very true
Great video. Wish I had your energy, getting old SUCKS!
Hey D, I'm 65. I train every morning (Qigong) and ride my stationary bike every other day, it really helps. I think Tom has a vid w/a stationary bike also. Hope you can get on the bank how and when you can, Hook'em!!!
Keep up with the great content! I’ve never went out to specifically target carp but I always embrace the fight when I hook up with one.
Good video. People are stupid. Don't let them bother you. Carp are very tough. I got my 1st 17lb Mirror Carp on corn with a 3m margin pole with Preston Innovations 18 hole elastic. Most fun I have ever had playing a fish. Keep up the good work.
👍
Awesome fishing session man
Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
I'm ready for summer carp fishing! Thanks for the awesome content Tom
You bet!
Love your videos Tom
😁
Great hunt, great video. Good luck.👏👏👍
Always enjoy the videos man!
Glad you like them!
Water temps here are around 48°. I haven't seen any activity yet but I'm really considering just giving it a shot 👍🏻
Only one way to find out!
Well tom the ground hogs are out of there holes _ Robin's are back - worms are up - forsythia is blooming and the carp should be biteing. Unfortunately the only fish being caught are by you in this video. Good luck this year !
Sounds like it's spring everywhere except in the water. Good luck to you too!
Another great carp story Tom, hope things warm up for you soon!! I love the bleep outs (%*), keeps it real, Bwaahahaha. Well, my second season of really targeting carp finally got under way last Wednesday after a couple of miss starts due to weather and timing. It was fun!! After all the great tips you have shared, trial and error from last season I felt confident and it paid out. Six fish in four hours, w/big fish of the day at 14#. The rest averaged 10 & +, w/one at five#, awesome (4 me). Bait choice of the day was.....gummy bears, didn't even tap my homemade boillies. I can't get raw tiger nuts in my State. It was also the first outing with the Sougayilang S331 7000, worked smooth with no issues (so far). I have always been a Daiwa fan, we'll see next purchase. P.S. The bigger net is must, it has really helped. LOL Thanks Tom!!!
Sounds like a great day, thanks for sharing your story!
Great video Tom, love those fish giving you hell and jumping out of your hands you always make it look so easy to release them glad to see you are human after all. About giving carp brain damage some people are just plain fools and think they have to make some kind of comment. How much longer before you begin carp fishing this year??
Be a few weeks yet before I target carp, the catfish are up first. Thanks David.
hey, Tom been fishing since i was kid love carp fishing, only fishing i do a little bit if trout here n there, Ive watched almost all your videos not sure if you've mention where you're located out of bodies of water. I d like to visit do some fishing. Carp population is good here in St.louis way more grass carp than those commons ya got up there
Tom, what can you tell us about your landing net? Didn't see anything in the description. Thanks RW.
All my gear is in the description, maybe have another look. Thanks Randy.
Tom have you ever use molasses 8 oz. and one can of cream corn
That 10lber was long and lean with a massive tail - decent river fish. Have you done any videos on how you mix your bait?
You must be new here, welcome aboard. czcams.com/video/89BOPegMWRk/video.html
@@OutsidewithTom yep. New here mate. Stumbled across one of your magic twig vids that made me laugh.
Love your channel Tom! No BS just information and Carpin'. Keep up the quality content.
Thanks, will do!

Tom I just started making my own method feeders got any advice being a fellow Carp fisherman making them out of wire was thinking about rubber dipping them but not sure would like to get some advice maybe send you a pic
Here's an old video of how I used to make wire feeders. czcams.com/video/W5XhM0pYGn0/video.html
@@OutsidewithTom
Ok so using that wire have you ever noticed a decline in bite because I am sure you have heard the old wise tale about carp tasting metal
@@johnnystephenson6908 Can't say I've ever heard that one. I've always used bare metal springs and catch lots of fish. These days, I pack my bait around a chunk of pure lead. The hook and swivel are metal too. I think that old myth is busted.
@@OutsidewithTom
I have debunked a lot of myths I grew up with when it comes to Carp fishing this is the only one that I haven’t just wanted to get your opinion on it and Thanks for it hey I wanna send you some of these method feeders I make when I get them to where I want to be I don’t any plug on your channel just want you to try them out and give me an honest feedback back if your interested let me know and even if your not let me know I will spread them around here in Ohio to my fellow Carp fisherman really appreciate any help fella Thanks again
Johnny, I appreciate your generous offer. As I'm sure you can understand, I like to use my own homemade feeders, but thank you again. Good luck out there!
Hey Tom I watch your videos a lot, your the reason why I started carp fishing I have question for you. today I caught tons of carp but I had two that felt really big and about midway reeling them in they left off the hook and same with the other am I missing something? Everytime I get one that feels really big they get off the hook maybe I tear there lip I’m not sure any advice?
Hard to know for sure. Definitely possible that the hook is ripping through. The solution to prevent ripped lips is to loosen your drag and let the fish take some line when they pull hard. Good luck!
@@OutsidewithTom thanks for the advice I’ll give it a try!
Carpfishing where you live seems so much easier than it is with me in Europe 😅 i love to fish small muddy rivers like this too (don't get much pressure), but i maybe catch a carp in 1 of every 10 sessions, if more i'd be lucky. And i fish good spots, the fish migrate a lot. The thing is that the average size is way bigger and way more variation. My pb is a 45lbs mirror caught in a similar river like this.
Yep, it's a different world. I hope your luck improves, thanks for watching.
@@OutsidewithTom Thanks man! I hope you catch a monster soon 👊 🎣
