Every single game created by valve (30+ games) works on Mac. The Source Engine itself works on Mac(not the Authoring Tools like Hammer).

I'd add somewhat important note. There's an issue with new MBP late 2016 with Boot Camp/Windows 10 BLOWING your speakers. Please make sure to update Audio Drivers if Bootcamp installer/Apple Software Update doesn't update it for you.

i don't think boot camp will support a iMac from late 2006.

MAKE sure your speakers are turned down people. of course if your speakers are turned up all the way thats going to happen DUH.
default settings for windows 10 is at 75% so if your speakers were at max, then it will blow it up lol ... besides, the firsta thing to do when you install an OS is to install the drivers (duh) windows and MAC doesn't have the same program compatibility... you need to install programs that are for windows only on your newly installed windows
This is amazing!!! As a software developer I spend 90% of my time on Mac. However, I had to keep my old notebook with Windows 10 only because of the remaining 10% of Windows-only apps. Thanks to your guide I can now fully migrate to my MacBook. Great job, Jeff!
This is the same situation for me, some of the softwares I need are windows only so I have to keep my windows 10 laptop and it makes the tasks take twice as long to complete than on my MacBook Pro

The answer is simple. Having three MacBooks and two Windows laptops at home I had no urgent need to research if it's possible to install Windows on a Mac or not. This guide I spotted on YT just turned out to be very handy.

I got my apple air for free from a friend and I miss window. And here I'm.
I'll share why I don't like apple product. It's a rip off brand that cost you an arm and and leg. I seen video where Apple purposely slow down your iPhone to make you buy a new one. You can't upgrade your Mac book from 2014 onward because it's glued in?
If you have a minor problem with your Mac, the repairman will only give you one solution, pay 1k usd for repair, while independent repair shop Fox it for free. Apple used screws that can't be open with regular screw driver. Apple try to eliminate third party repairman and screws manufacturers.
I start using the Mac a week ago and I notice the close button are on the left side and most of us are right handed.
I got a free Mac but I rarely touch it. I only use it for emulation gaming for like a few minutes and that's about it.
The natural mouse scrolling was other anti window set up by Apple.

@@yackerist It's really not an innovation since window invented touch monitor before Steve stole that idea and make his iPod touch screen. I'm not here to stomp you to the ground, but it would be more productive if you research the origin of touch screen technology. It's quite interesting.

And speaking off rip off, I'm using a used $45 Octa core phone, it's light as a feather, has 32 gigs of storage and it has a 6 inch screen.

I found the fix! For the people who can’t get back to MacOs So restart your computer on windows obviously since you are there stuck and when you press restart hold *option* down on your keyboard and dont let go till you see it give you the option to return to your MacOS you’ll see it

did you try to install? When I tried to open the boot camp assistant it says I need an usb drive, did you need one too? Also did you need to pay for anything or was all of this free?

@@pearlvy1855 if your Mac is an older model then it will want a usb, but if you have a new model then you don’t need a usb.

You probably have a mac with an Apple M1 chip processor, Bootcamp only works with Macs with Intel processors. You can check this if you press "About this mac" then look at overview and then look at the chip you are using.
I know some of you are wondering: "why?" Why would I install Windows 10, Jeff? The answer to that question will come in the future, but I had to finish this tutorial first :)

hey after installing windos on mac is there lagging problem something else or its safe and i am installing windows because some video editing softwares is not available for mac and i know big softwares is available for mac but some software have different good feature which is not provided in other big softwares thats the reason i am installing windows in mac.

i'm a music producer myself, and sometimes there are mac users who need software that are not compatible at the moment such as FL Studio and some VST plugins that are not available for MAC users which is kinda wack, IMO i think bootcamp is dope and would be very useful to those producers out there, i own a Gaming PC and a Macbook Pro, I make music with my PC in the Desktop Room, but then I sometimes get lazy and tired of being in a shitting position, and then head to the living room lay down in my super soft sofa for a while with my Macbook and I sometimes want to keep working on my music projects that's when bootcamp gets very handy dandy here. bootcamp is dope fellas.

Just want to leave a quick review bc this video helped me out so much. I did this yesterday using the latest version of catalina idk exactly but its October 2019 rn and i have to say the windows setup is alittle different now (for me) compared to whats shown in the video but the basic concepts are the same. So just follow exactly what he does. One important tip and a tip i wouldve love to have known, was that (at the end if the video when he shows u how to switch back to mac os) if the bootcamp button isnt showing up or maybe it is showing up but not working, shut ur computer off and when u turn it back on hold the power button and the option key and u will have a choice of which operating system u would like u to run just make sure the arrow is pointing at the one u want and click enter. Before i knew this i was freaking out bc i thought i was stuck in windows lol. My final thoughts just bc ive gone this far is that I mean obviously ur doing this bc either u want to play games and u cant get steam on mac or u need a program for work that doesnt run on mac os or ur like me and need both lol. Just wanted to basically say this is the best video tutorial by far on how to do this and it really isnt a hard thing to do. Just make sure u have about 1 hour and 1/2 of time especially if u have no experience. Other than that i say go for it!

This tutorial was literally a life saver, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have a Mac (obviously lol) and have been wanting to play some older games on Steam, (mainly the old Nancy Drew interactive mystery games) but since my MacBook no longer supports 32-bit games I couldn't play them. :(( I've tried lots of other methods such as PlayOnMac, VirtualBox, etc. NONE of them worked and I was pretty heartbroken until I found this. This tutorial was SUPER easy to follow and I was able to download Steam and play all my games, FINALLY!! :D Thank you SO much for this!
