    What a blessing to see this video! My great Grand Father was half Chickasaw from Oklahoma. Proud to know more of our history. 🙏🔥

    The Native Americans of the Chickasaw Nation were quite excellent in everything they did. When it came to sustaining and preserving food and money, the Chickasaws raised primarily cotton and corn, raising large herds of cattle and horses, keeping poultry of every description such as chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, and guinea fowl, and women were treated equally and a noticeable presence in the agriculture economy of the Chickasaw Nation. Also, when Europeans were colonizing North America in the 17th century (1600-1699) and the 18th century (1700-1799) the Chickasaw Native Americans were allied with English European colonists as well as European Americans of English origin. Due to this factor the Native Americans of the Chickasaw Nation began to learn the culture of European Americans of English origin, so the Chickasaws adopted their culture and mixed with theirs. These "cultural aspects" the Chickasaws adopted was economic development and trade, ownership of private property, men operating everything, growing cash crops and owning large herds of cattle and horses, and using African American people as slaves, this is how the Chickasaw Freedmen AKA Chickasaw Blacks came to be. Another thing that occurred among the Chickasaw Native Americans was they appreciated the sun because of its ability create and sustain life. At a young age Chickasaw boys were trained in martial arts and were taught to withstand pain and deprivation without complaint. The Chickasaw Nation was known to have the most powerful and superior Native American warriors, this is reason why other Native American tribes such as the Choctaws,Cherokees, Creeks, Seminoles refused to attack the Chickasaws, plus the Chickasaws never lost a major military engagement war or battle.

    Chokma and thanks for the work you put into creating this video. Indigenous cultures are the pearls of modern day Americas and you have helped spread that knowledge.

      @Janella Mozingo
      Who cares? The chickasaw where enslavers as well. They were one of the five sellout tribes who followed the evil ways of the white man. If your name is Mozingo you might be descendant of an African slave. That name is well know in the south and is carried by whites who descended from Black slaves.

      Chickasaw that owned slaves are passed on 5 or 6 generations ago & Chickasaw won't ever practice slavery again.
