As an option buyer, what i learnt from this video is "stay away from the market until the vix crashes" 😂

The idea is in the right direction, but the logic is not right as vix is only the IV of options in the front month. If you check the options IV of dec nifty, its 17 while IV of options close to expiry is 35 odd, so when VIX crashes 30%, options with expiry nearby might have similar crash, but IV of dec nifty will not crash by 30 percent.

I think you are right because if the IV of the long term options in December crash more than June end options, then there is no point in selling June end options for anyone. Further logically, the June end options are more at risk due to volatility than December as the event is in June 4

@@sakethr I want to meet you and would like to spend a day or days if possible, you tought me option selling, during the early years of optionable. Target was a good product, but freeak trades were killing, which I missed and feel lucky, due to low vix lost interest in selling. And had healthy very good losses learning buying, later found out it's not my cup of tea.
After spending so much time in market, i don't want to quit, for learning more any option is great fully, a good fan of yours

Vix is a known enemy, but Delta and Gamma are the unknown elements and they could surprise the option premiums by moving violently.

You need to understand that IV for December and June don't change in by similar percent on election day. In last month mostly June options IV have changed, December has not changed much. IV will crash mainly for June month. For December it would be minor reduction.

Could you please always use the terms "put selling," "call selling," or "option selling" instead of just saying "shorting"? It's a bit confusing otherwise. Additionally, it would be helpful if you could zoom in on the screen a bit and repeat the steps more slowly. This would make it easier to follow, rather than feeling like I'm in a history class in school or college. Thank you!
