I’ve camped on standard bike, motorcycles, canoe, car, and backpacking. They’re all good, some ways are better than others. We’re very lucky today. There are many well designed and well made pieces of gear out there. Some are better than others. Getting out there is beneficial.

You need a saddle bag for more room !or bungee cord the wood to outside of crate, put wood under the crate ( flat 3 inch bigger than crate)to hold fire wood up when traveling then u can use wood under crate to eat on or burn !and have room in crate for more stuff !😊
More flashing lights on back even in day !
And a tarp over your camp that you can put bike under and then you will also have a dry place to pack up camp !
And maybe a second battery pack ?
I would also look at phone coverage of area in case of emergency? 😊

I generally like a traditional full twist Throttle to the right. My e-bike can go from 1 to 31 mph. You can walk the bike if you are in an area it’s simply not safe to ride. Give the throttle just enough twist and the bike will match your walking speed. Also most e-bikes aren’t all that lightweight. The walk mode helps you to walk it over some rather Steep terrain Without feeling you’re going to bust a gut.

This inspired me to fix up an old Huffy Santa Fe I found in the garbage. I trued the rear wheel and bought a used saddle to get it operational. I fixed milk crates to the rack for panniers using paracord jam knots so they are removable. I have rode the bike to a couple of my local fishing holes and plan on slowly building up my mileage. My nearest camping spot is seventeen miles from my house. My goal is to be ready to pedal it by autumn! Thanks for the inspiration, James!

I received my bike and got it assembled (easy). It is AWSOME. I researched E-bike reviews and found that unless you’re a Tour-du-France type rider, this is one of the best if not the best on the market; definitely the best for the price. Rear hub drive, torque sensor pedaling is like driving an automatic car. It lets an old man with a worn out ticker keep up with his grandchildren and enjoy some comfortable exercise and a nice quiet ride through the trails. I think I’ll be able to test it for camping this week. Thanks for the discount. They honored it even though the bike was on sale.

At 60 years old, it was time for a new bike. I thought hard about buying an E-bike: I figured that, if I got an e'bike, I would quit peddling and ride it like a scooter. That would be a long, slippery, road to a wheel chair for me. I bought a Surly Bridge Club 100% pedal bike and love it.

I like your set up, it's pretty leightweight. Since I need to rely on a gas cooker (no campfires allowed at my place), I tend to bring along a small trailer. I think it adds a ton of usability to getting around with your bike. Even with a regular hardtail MTB, I never really got stuck anywhere, can imagine that's even less off a problem with an motor. The main advantage is that you either can carry more/ different stuff in your backpack, or not have to wear one while riding, which I find rather annoying.
Also, for a bike like yours I would suggest using a front rack, and a double set of panniers, this way you can bring along the most stuff, without compromising on mobility, which a trailer does. A good general tip is to screw "bikepacking" gear, it's expensive and useless. Regular surplus molle gear works very well on bikes n carriers.

I have an older step threw Himiway and put a basket of theirs on the front , on the rear is a set of Panniers on the back rack with a travel trunk. I also tricked it out with a additional 4 speeds. ( learned how on CZcams). Here in Florida the large tires on the bike along with the assisted peddling make it easy going in our sugar sand.
Hammock camping I use a full length mummy style self inflating mattress about 1/2 to 3/4 inflated. Cooking with a backpacking , folding , titanium wood ( twig ) burning stove. I call it my portable fireplace.

Yeah, I got a beef with this video.
    A big one.
I have a foot to stand on, too.
Rode at least 100,000 miles and did some bicycle tours.
The problem I have with your post is that the thing you should mention before ANYTHING is the rear view mirror strategy.
I did almost all of my bicycle antics before smart phones and texting were a thing.
Even before the distracted driver crisis the phenomena was present.
I recall three incidences when having one eye on my rear view mirror prevented me from being road kill.
It's way more dangerous in modern times.
People are messing around with their #"$!#in phones when they should be monitoring their particular kinetic situation.
    Distracted drivers are very dangerous.
    Be proactive in identifying them.
    Just MHO.
I feel pretty strongly on this particular topic and I hope at least one person out there will stop doing it after considering my post.
Do your phone shenanigans after the kinetic energy issue has been properly respected.
There are a hell of a lot truly decent people in prison for using the dang phone when they were driving.
    Sorry for the rant.
    Had to do it.

Thanks for video on this rainy weekend. (Thinking of and thankful for those who served). The e-bike features are cool although it’s too tall for me. I thought some of the items you used might be good for a bug out bag but I didn’t see any links. Can you share them? That folding spoon/fork is cool. Thanks and have a good week.

I’m really interested in your backpack/ruck sack. What brand is it & where can I find one?

It's a medium backpack made by Frost River. You can find them in many places. EBay or the frost River Company itself.

I had an Ebike but that particular wasn’t good for me due to how short I am. I am wanting to get a step through next

The step through models are definitely easier to work with for some folks.

Thanks for the e-bike adventure video. Comprehensive and detailed. I really need to find me one of those cold handle skillets. No secondhand ones available in my area. What size is that one? Do you have a source? God bless y’all ! - Tennessee Smoky

Thanks so much! It is a 6-in pan. I believe you can find them on either eBay or Etsy. God bless you too!

    Good looking Bike.
I have purchased a 26" mountain bike, but could only get men's bike.
The step through himiway looks perfect for me (female), but now i have to figure out a way to either trade my 26" bike for a 24" wheel base, BECAUSE I am on tippy toes standing still, and that's not so good in my book. The seat is all the way down, in short the 26" fat tire mountain bike is a tad bit too big for my taste.
I have it saved to my home screen to look at it at a later time, when finances are better...thank you for uploading this Video!

does the headlight have an off switch so when it is stored in a dark garage, the auto dark sensor doesn't turn on the headlight and kill the battery?

Hind sight is 20/20, if I had spent all the money I spent on prepping over the last 10 years and bought bitcoin instead I could afford a fortress today with paid armed guards.
