You could add some walnut shelves, accessories, Brown carpet etc to the kitchen to tie the darker elements in. Maybe even a small walnut island

Just started watching your channel recently. You make very interesting content. The way to blend your dining room section to your kitchen is to introduce some shades of pink into a large picture on the back wall of your dining table. You could also have a nice runner on your dining room table and or some nice pink glass objects that you could leave out on your dining table for a cohesive look. Amanda x

@thepreppyminimalist You could also paint the wall behind your dining table in a colour that doesn't necessarily match the pink tiles, but does still bring the spaces together. Imho I think you'd be able to keep that fabulous picture if you choose the right colour.
I agree with @amandaclarke1373 about a table runner in the pink (as you have pink cushions this would help to bring more cohesion), to bring the kitchen colour into this area, but you could also have items in the kitchen that bring colours from the dining/ living room into that space.
You have a beautiful and cozy home. It is minimal but with lots of colors and personality. I love all the open spaces and walls you have. If you don't like the white walls, paint it a soft neutral color. Space is really important for me. Your house is very clean and tidy. It is funny that you are such a cleaning freak but don't enjoy doing laundry. I am just the opposite. I do necessary cleaning but don't enjoy it. Laundry is my favorite chore. It is magic to turn a pile of dirty and smelly laundry into a neat stack of cleaned, ironed and folded clothes.....
I love doing laundry when it's not too much. I've let it pile up and now I have 4 weeks worth of folding 😂😭. We're definitely wanting to paint our walls in a soft neutral but are scared to do it ourselves. Saving up to have a painter in 👍🏻

You have a beautiful home! If you want to bring some of your kitchen into your dining room, color match your kitchen tiles and paint your dining room lamp. It will bring just a touch of the kitchen and look really nice.

Switch the painting over the dining room to the living room....then do a gallery wall over your dining table...bring in more color and texture to the dining area...that's all you need...make it eclectic...loved your space

Had to laugh at your electrics not being finished - ours aren't either, after 15 years! Guess what my husband trade is! I love your your painting in the dining area - its beautiful. And your touches of colour are really lovely. A home is a work in progress, so it changes as our tastes/ lifestyle/ family situation, etc changes.
Our home is similar to yours, in terms of there being a fair amount of black and white. But we've also injected colour. The black and white is generally for the big ticket items, so we know they will stand the test of time. We've also got a lot of walnut(even the dog's basket), and I love the warmth of it - again it'll stand the test of time. Our soft furnishings are generally where we inject the colour, so our living room has touches of green to reflect the garden outside. The dining table is walnut in our large kitchen diner, with white kitchen units - the textiles in this space are are a minty/ sea green, this looks amazing on our table, but is also great with the crisp white. Its still neutral enough not to jar with the more grass greens of the living room which is right next door. We try not to go too matchy matchy, but have a mix of things of similar hues so its still cohesive. Our bedroom has blues and reds with walnut bed and side tables. Our bed is 160cm, but they're not so common, so we had to wait three months for a new mattress as it was made to measure.
Haha once you get to a point after renovation where it's 90% finished you're like, well that will be done one day. It's fine for now. But we never do it when in fact it's so easy lol. We really want to finish it this winter!👍🏻

Beautiful home you have, although you say you like a pop of colour is still a very minimalist style, the wallpaper really brings the kid room together, i know this is a old video an perhaps you like the open concept and say you have enough storage but have you consider creating a sense of separation between the living room and kitchen with a bookcase or armoir.
I would try to hang some wood deccor at the kitchen wall. Maybe that would bring a touch of the living room/dining room into the kitchen.
Thought about that as well. It would need to be something that's not very deep. Maybe some panelling, who knows! Thanks for your suggestion 😊

It's an old, famous Dutch painting and it's called 'de bedreigde zwaan' from painter Jan Asselijn. In English: the endangered swan. You can buy it on a lot of Dutch websites. Not sure if other country's Dell it too! Thanks for watching ❤️

Put some wooden cutting boards in different colors of wood standing against the pink tiles where you can see them from the living room. Maybe it will tie the two rooms together..

I've thought about that as well! I think it looks very beautfiul but I'm afraid it won't go with most of our bedding. Sage is goregeous though 😍
i will make the wall behind my grey bed sage and the other wall oldpink-i mostly have earth tone copper sheets to give it warmth and depth!
Try navy blue tiles when you want to change it
Id hide his pic in your room. I'd put the goose pic above the couch and add a pic with some pink in it above the dining table to tie into the kitchen.
Love it. l live in Puerto Rico, in a fifty something years old building. I need to remodel but first I had no money to do it now I am too lazy and do not want to endure the chaos.

I think in bedrooms and bathrooms you show more personality and i like colours, warm… living room is unlike you, like a show room…be braver :)

To me minimalist homes look too bare and clinical. Each to their own way but I prefer more colour and things around me.
