My country, Iran, thanks to the government's poor foreign policies leading to huge sanctions, is going through a huge economical crisis. It's hard to afford even a crapy domestic car (you have no idea how awful they are in all aspects). So, buying a decent car is somehow an achievement in and of it itself, let alone buying an old used JDM or maybe a muscle car that can be built into a drift car. All of the domestic cars are FWD, so you can't even drift to start with. All that said, I still love watching you guys' videos. It keeps me motivated towards my dreams, dream cars, and that kinda cool stuff, although I know I'm probably never gonna get there. So thank you! Keep up with the videos. PEACE.

Even in "developed" countries one needs to be wealthy to have these cars to drift.. A lot of us here will never get there too 😂
I bought a fire extinguisher when I turbo'ed my street Miata. A month later a GTR R35 caught fire in the rear at a car show, and I was the only one in the vicinity that had a bottle. Saved some dude's 120k car, didn't even get a thank you #feelsgoodman

Really wanted a daily/drift car but your changing my mind
Great idea for a series for the channel: DRIFT CAR BUILD OFF, series consists of 2 or more teams being put head to head to build fun drift cars (not FD level or anything), in a short period of time (a couple of weeks/ a month) with both teams being set the same budget (10-15k) budget would be for getting a car and all the parts and everything for the builds, great way to fund everything is by having the series sponsored by a tool company which will constantly be on show as their tools get used, as well as using parts from specific websites (e.g. drift hq etc). At the end of the series have the cars go to a drift day have the teams talk about anything they would have done differently and let the cars be judged by 5 judges in a point based system on categories such as (style, drivability, etc) and the team with the most points receives a trophy

Thanks for covering this topic I've definitely been overthinking it. Have an old mustang I was going to start to build for drifting a few weekends a year here at a local track. Was glad to see you cover the suspension.. would you say that adding a coil over conversion to say bilsteins be a good quality shock on a budget or should a guy stick to true coil overs?
Or just put bucket seat in it so you're not all over the place and weld the diff? How does this sound? When you get better just put coilovers on it than lock and you're sorted out. Check Jordan Tweedie channel where he does machine chceck on good japanese drifters, all they have is cut knuckles, coilovers, bucket seat and more power(Some of them still running below 300hp). You dont need all that nonsense to have fun on the track and do some close tandems. The key is to make the car reliable so you can get as much practise as possible.

whats ur opinion on fiberglass/ carbon doors? i have an sc300 and the doors are stupid heavy. is that unsafe for tandems? (id put a cage along the door obviously) thanks love the vids
got a stg4 6 puck clutch its insanely different feeling. clutch kicks are way better though but its a weird feeling to learn
Can you do a breakdown on tires? As far as what profiles and pressures you should be running at a certain power level. I drive a stock n/a 300zx and usually come here for suggestions on what to change lol. Love the content bro keep it up.

im getting a damaged front end car to use as my drift car im probably gonna chop the front end if its to bad but im using stock as hell car with only reliability and safety and a welded diff it and a cage should chassis specific mods be done like subframe reinforcement for bmw cars and the like?

hey so I'm a senior bout to college later this year where I'm gonna get a degree in mechanical engineering. My dream/goal right now is to one day build a drift team that'll be well known throughout the world, obviously id be drifting too and I wanna be one of the top yk (Hella inspired from initial D)? but also open up a business where I can design and sell drift parts so I can make drifting and just motorsports in general more easily accessible and cheaper for everyone. lol right now I don't necessarily know how to drift, ik kinda crazy😅. but I'm 18 and it's something I really want to do. My friend takes me drifting though in his skyline all the time and every single time I have a blast which is partly why I want to do it. I can't really drift the way I want right now cuz I drive a automatic G35 but I work on it all the time so I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to fixing or changing parts on a car, I don’t know everything doe. I don’t know why I wrote this now, I guess I just wanted your feedback/tips lmao.

Haha yeah bro, got my 350z a few weeks back and have also driven to and home from a couple of events now 😅. You do feel the limitations, especially in Australia where you can get fined and defected pretty easily! Regardless, we gotta be safe!

Yeah sure! Depending on model though you might lose like horn and the clock spring for you blinkers and stuff but its not a bad idea

Just a lot of the more advanced techniques you'll need a bit more HP.
