He gets 100 million all together .. 65 or so the first year with signing bonus . 25 or so the next year in 2025 and 5 million third year. His contract is structured so they can let him go this year and/or he can be traded to a team he likes because of no “trade clause “ if that is what’s best . We are on our way , finally . Rise up 🏹
It was a good pick in my opinion. When you think about 2015 when we went defense with the same 8th pick and got Vic Beasley who was a wash and Grady in the 5th round and look how that turned out. No guarantees just because he was a defensive player

It’s not Vic Beasley, he should’ve been named Block Easily.
But he did that against weak tackles. He was non existent in the Super Bowl. Plus he could’ve intercepted the ball on the patriots last drive but he wasn’t paying attention.

Hire an edge rusher and free agent, Zion Tupuola-Fetui from Washington. He's the only one from UW that was invited at the Combine and didn't get drafted or hired as a free agent. Zion will do the job! Get him before he signs w/ another team!
Side note Raheem Morris has a passion for players with a connection with the state of Florida, examples Pitts, Penix, Grant for starters a state Morris himself has a lot of history with, just saying he likes Florida connects.
The Falcons have 4 high first rounders on that offense not to mention a thousand yard rotational RB to rely on so there's no excuse for Kirk Cousins and this offense not to be top 10 at least

And guess what Cousins knows the Offensive system already. Just came off a 13 win season in the system in 2022 and was on a MVP stats pace last seaon in 2023 before he got hurt. Meaning 4,8K to 5K passing yards 46 to 50 TDs and 11 ints. Let that sink in.
The Falcons are done with the cheap Mariota and Ridder options that get you 150 yard passing a game and 7-10 wins back back seasons.

I get the philosophy..Have a Good QB to help win NOW and Have Future Long Term Answer QB as well..and you get them when you can get them...Also - it's Falcons $$...they decided potential Cap problem risk is worth it to get Cousins...if they dump him quick and go to Penix. The Problem is Falcons expecting Cousins and Penix to be ok with this...plus 1st bad game with Cousins and they have already invited a QB controversy inside and outside of the building.
