    warning to all who want to run it... be aware that at full 4TH power and 140W consumption, the miner is really hot and overheats (90°C or more). It is not possible to operate it for a long time without further solving the cooling problem.
    the solution is to remove the side grill of the intake and exhaust, but you need to disassemble the miner and you will lose the warranty.
    But then the cooling works better

    Nice little novelty item. If you solo mine, it's like buying a lottery ticket every 10 mins. I'm still surprised how little power it takes to produce 4TH these days. Solo mine BCH may increase the odds. Might pick one up for fun.

      I will try solo mining also! Guess it could make some more money if I am lucky :D

    I bought mine for $99 each. I think pay per share (pps) pools are better suited for the nano3. I have 20 pieces and have around 0.4 bitcoin per day. and a chance on the whole block.

      Ok! I have to look into that! Thanks for info!! 👍👍

      😂 20 pieces is about 80tera hash roughly 2800 watts now your maximum daily is .00016 and that's at the low end of the electric bill being 11¢/kwh no chance ur making .4 BTC on 80 terrahash but yes I agree pps pools are better so 20 nanos with power supply will run about $3500 roughly so in about 3.5 years you will roi

      @@jasonkidwell1767 ah ok sorry. There is a little misunderstanding. Of course I don't just earn the 0.4 BTC with the nanos. I worded it wrong. sorry, I'm not good at English. I meant the 0.4 BTC I generally earn per day. So with all the miners I own. and your electricity bill doesn't apply to me. Everything for me runs on a PV system.

    Solo mining you will never see any amount of Bitcoin, only if you solve a block. Which with that miners hashrate will never happen. Pool mining you will see at least some Bitcoin.

    • @Kurkkio
      @Kurkkio  Před měsícem +1

      Ok!! Thanks for the tip! I started mining in a pool to begin with now. Made 1 SEK in 20 hours - so no big money at all right now. Electrical cost probably higher than that. :) But fun little gadget and it makes heat and nice colors 🤠

      Solo minor hit a Block just the other day with a hash rate a lot lower than this. But yeah, it’s a lottery.

    • @rz6354
      @rz6354 Před 5 dny +1

      when mining on the pool and paying from the 4TH mining share, you will get 0.22USD per day. This is nonsense because you will burn 3kWh of electricity per day.
      The only thing that makes sense is to mine SOLO and hope you hit the block and 3.125BTC. In a year, two, or five...

      Right now it is around 0.00000300 BTC per day, mining in a pool. I will try some solo mining next week. For now I want to see if it is constant at that rate.
