The judge here would probably argue that an Alpaca is not included in the pet friendly sign because it`s not a usual/common pet. My english is not that great to describe it the way i want but i hope you understand the key message in this.

Damn those alpacas were well trained. I train llamas and have been for the last 8 years, and that was pretty impressive haha. These little dudes didn’t even hesitate walking straight into a new building. I have only had one llama that was fully comfortable in any situation. I actually brought her in an elevator once haha. She passed away about a month ago. Miss you Zoe
Alpacas have much nicer obedient demeanours than llamas. If you had a llama I am surprised you did not know that
@@dianeshelton9592 personally I’ve found, after working with both llamas and alpacas, that alpacas tend to be a bit harder to train. Obviously there are exceptions to this but from what I’ve observed and heard from others, it is actually usually the other way around

@@dianeshelton9592 I do agree that alpacas spit less but in the years that I have been working with llamas I have never been bit or heard of someone being bit. I think if a llama is biting a person it is likely an indication of aberrant behavior syndrome. I think that alpacas can be easier to work with due to their size but I still tend to prefer llamas. though, of course, as I said before, there are many exceptions to this and I have seen alpacas do extremely well in show.
Those two beauties are so well behaved and adorable, they are just like in zen mode or something.

Second, that wasn't my question at all. I asked why it's called pet-friendly when they don't accept other animals besides dogs. It's not like 'pets' does only include dogs but any animal a human could possibly own for his or her pleasure. Such as alpacas, cats, parrots, rabbits, turtles, rats or even a frickin giraffe, if someone has like a huge backyard. Lol.

If i translate the name pet into my language it means literally houseanimal (Haustier).
It is really obvious that an alpaca isnt welcome in a normal hotel and your mentally slow or a little kid if you think that would be ok.

Pet shops around me accept dogs that bite yet refuse a friendly snake.
Now that’s just messed up I understand why alpacas are rejected because they’re big and poop a lot but a snake? They don’t have huge poop and they can be controlled easier they just hate reptiles assholes
The weirdest thing is they claimed their ‘insurance’ wouldn’t cover my snake being there. Despite me bringing my snakes before and also saw other people take exotic pets in. A mouse is more likely to bite than a corn snake. But yaknow humans being stupid

The reason is because they aren’t ‘potty’ trained, they aren’t taught not to poop/pee inside. If you brought a dog somewhere and they did that they’d be kicked out too, but people usually assume those ARE trained unlike with alpacas

We are all laughing at this, thinking about how absurd ut is, but once I saw a couple walking a goat with a leash by the seaside😳 It was definitely the vision of a lifetime
I had a tame goat and he was trained to walk on a leash just for safety when near a road (and to stop him trying to nibble the flowers in somebody's front gardens). He was definitely a public attraction everytime I took him out for a walk. Xd

We have alpacas in the UK because they were a gift to us from the Peruvian government after their independence from Spain.
They were released into the wild acidentally and now farmers everywhere have them here, thanks Peru! Very nice animals 😄

Muqlis Qayumm well they do also allow cats and some small animals. Some of the places do specify in their small print what animals they allow. Unfortunately not many people read the small print. Just put pet friendly.

ARMYALEX well if they are somewhere that allows small pets in them possibly. But it’s not easy to transport reptiles (snakes/lizards) as they need to be kept 8n certain conditions. As for insects probably not. Insects wouldn’t count under pets as insects can be classed as pests.

Alpacas are so cute...like soft toys roaming around..I visited an Alpaca Farm recently in Colorado, US...it was a great experience....made a video too....can't forget that day...watching the videos itself now makes me feel so happy :) Regards!
