you are the hero!
i hate how everbody i know or talk too say the wii just has 2 or 3 good games the rest are shit
i beg to differ the wii has so many good games
I agree. Just like everyone said the GameCube was a crappy system. Now it's THE system of that generation to find games for.
@@MrJ0mmy same with WiiU. Fantastic machine with great games. Just not enough.... disappointed in 3rd parties for that. Specifically EA with the FIFA series...
Your hidden gem videos are the best! So many great games go completely unnoticed, but videos like these keep them alive.
Agreed, and the shirt rocks \m/ where do you find that?

Sega should've brought updated versions of the Panzer Dragoon games to the Wii. What a wasted opportunity to get those games back out there for those who missed it on the Saturn.
MeanMrMustard1 If I remember correctly. Sega have lost the source codes for the Panzer dragoon games
Well, ironically enough, we are getting a Panzer Dragoon remake for the Nintendo Switch now.
MetalJesus is a man's man. Just a really lovable guy doing what he loves and sharing it with the world. I am so happy I've known about his channel for years because it has made my life better.
"Ultra cool dude Travis Touchdown"
lol
i just realised that DeBlob looks like Splatoon
I know, right?! Splatoon looks like a ton of fun!
Or rather Splatoon looks like deBlob :)
+MasterMadj Except that De Blob came out 7 years prior to Platoon.. lol
When I saw the eyes in the first Splatoon trailer, I honestly thought it was De Blob.
It is like Splatoon but fighting against the communists.
Sin and Punishment is a great game. Highly underrated. A truly buried ''Treasure'' treasure.
Buyer beware: the Wii Mini sucks. It does not play GameCube discs and it is not compatible with GameCube controllers (Original and Wavebird Wireless) and GameCube memory cards.
Well thank you that didn't buy the mini version and when I was deciding I thought the mini was better but your info proved me wrong so thank you
+Dustin Nunn and it doesn't even have wifi ! sry no updates, no online play, no shop thus no wii ware and no virtual console
wii servers down....... since two years ago
True, but the Wii Shop Virtual Console is still open for business. Hopefully for a long time to come.
Also, the Wii Mini doesn't have progressive scan, just crappy composite video (yellow cable).
That Speedracers game made me wish there was a racing game based on the anime movie Redline. That'd be SICK!
Not sure if it was mentioned in any other video but I think Deadly Creatures is a hidden gem. A very unique and cool game where you play as a spider or scorpion.
Just started growing my Wii collection, picked up Sin & Punishment yesterday! Amazing game, so many Wii titles that flew under the radar for me...
Madworld was a great hidden gem. Not too many people play that game by critics loved it, people who played it thought it was a amazing. It's just an overall awesome game with great controls and super violent.
"Ultra cool guy Travis Touchdown."
Hahahaha, Travis is such a goon.
de Blob must've been some type of inspiration for Splatoon
I love the Overlord games on PC. They're a ton of fun and full of humour.
tatsunoko vs capcom was awesome on the wii
It's a easy but nice looking title
I passed it up for $5 at Target on clearance once... still regret it
RunItBack games
*One GREAT gem!!!* 👏👊
Best Capcom vs title made in my opinion.
+MetalJesusRocks the Shaun White snowboarding games are the only reason I bought a Wii, using a controller and balance board makes it the closest game to actual snowboarding I've played and is the reason I was able to pick up snowboarding for real in about an hour with 30 minutes to stop my brain telling me I was mad and 30 minutes falling over to work out the real balance and edge control required. Within a day I did my first blue run, so I have to recommend it as a must buy as long as it doesn't make Shaun White any more money as the guy is already loaded.
The wii mini removed the gamecube backwards compatibility, has no SD card slot(no mods)- I would stay clear of it. The first gen wii works great as a gamecube, the component cable is cheap(huge difference if using an HDTV), and you can easily softmod it.
My wife and I are picking up a Wii tonight so coming back to these videos to get some ideas for more games except just Wii Sports lol
I think a rare accessory will end up being one of the more obscure gun docks, I saw one shaped like an MP5. Or! The Wii Bowling Ball.
That webpage I show in the beginning is Gamestop's site. You get even better deals when they run their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sales!
Dude, here in Brazil really admire your work. Congratulations on the channel and its collection.
Estraga TV
*Ele eh show mesmo!* 😉
I don't know how did youtube recommend this channel to me, but I'm glad it did, I enjoy it so much. Thanks a lot for your super charismatic personality and videos, awesome to watch
No More Heroes is actually fairly popular from what I know. I mean, out of all the hidden gems you've shown, I reckon No More Heroes is the most well-known among hardcore gamers. I remember I bunch of CZcamsrs I was following way back had either reviewed the game or did count-downs or just mentioned how cool it was.
I'd love to see a movie series based on No More Heroes 1 and 2. I mean, the style, the humor, the action, the visuals, the interesting-ish plot, the characters...oh man, it would be a blast to see on the big screen with movie budget visuals.
I love that he dances at the end because that was my first instinct upon hearing the groovy music.
"The world is a colorless place and you have to bring back emotion and color into it". Yeah, sounds familiar.. it's called reality.
Overlord on 360 was so addictive. Wasn't as huge a fan of part 2 but the first one kept me playing for a while and was so enjoyable. Definitely worth a play if you haven't already!
Not bad choices all around! Some of the list actually surprised me, and is making me reconsider a lot of these games that I had written off. Love your videos man, keep up the good work!
8 years later and u were spot on with ur prediction on the Wii mini becoming valuable
Thanks! I'm going to use that video of me dancing as my audition for Dancing With the Stars. I expect to win it all!
The coolest Wii accessory is the Komodo Buck Shot shotgun. It's a bit heavy so you can't play too long, but it's too cool!
It's 5 years into the future and as far as rare wii stuff here it is:
Legend of zelda skyward sword bundle (wii and wii remote are mainly the object of value here)
Metroid prime trilogy (unopened)
Wii stuff hasnt really dropped too much but still has some good games that are now dirt cheap
Dolphin + real Wiimotes + those games = Super HD fun
Great selection of games. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor just blew me away. Hard to believe the wii could handle such a fast and impressive looking game.
I have the Legend of Zelda Gold wii remote. I scored it at a garage sale a few months ago for $5. Turns out it's on ebay right now for around $60+. That may be the rare wii piece as time goes on.
I'm guessing the balance board will grow rare as the years passes. Is huge for a peripheral, and except for the collectors, more and more people will rid themselves with it due to the space it takes up alone.
Thanks for putting No More Heroes up there. Very underrated game. I bought it on release day when it originally came out and I didn't stop playing it for days. I have the PS3 version also. It has some bonus stuff and Trophy support, but it honestly doesn't touch the Wii Version. Great list though!!!
Hardware: there's a third party balance board that has a display for use as a normal scale, without having to boot up the console. Comes in black or white.
Software: you already mentioned Lost In Shadow, so I'll add two WiiWare games to download before it shuts down. Fluidity and Fast Racing both have sequels on other Nintendo hardware, but the originals are my favorites. And while motion controls make both of these games harder to master, they make it easier for inexperienced players to take turns in a rotation trying to pass certain levels.
Sin and Punishment 2 is co-op, but one player controls the onscreen character, the other only has a recticle to shoot. It's one of the best shooters I've ever played and the most trippy and surreal. Very beautiful art and a story that makes almost no sense, but you won't care it's lots of fun and lots of intense action.
Some underrated gems:
-Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (already brought this up, but it's still worth it)
-Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2
-Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (regarded as mediocre on other systems, but regarded as decent on the Wii)
I do these Hidden Gems videos for everybody, not just the people who hardcore or long time Wii collectors. Plus none of these games were in the Top 50 best selling Wii games
i love these hidden gems videos. This series has to keep going and going until we run dry out of ideas
De Blob is such a fun game. I can't recommend it enough.
You're probably right about that weird red Wii Mini thing. It's pretty rare here already.
One really good Wii game is Battalion Wars 2. It's basically a 3rd person shooter combined with a real-time strategy game. You directly control one unit in your army, be it on foot or in a vehicle, and you can command everybody else on your team to do what you wish, so you can fight while some of your army does an objective, or the other way around. There are tons of possibilities for how you play and it's really fun. Cutscenes are hilarious, too.
Such an underrated system. So many fun games for it.
When you asked about wii items that will be valuable down the road, the ones that come to mind are:
1.) The Wii Cyberbike. I am still trying to find one myself as it looks to be a great way to exercise while gaming. It is very rare and was not cheap, even when first released.
2.) The Bandai Active Life Pad. About a half a dozen games were made specifically for this pad.
3.) Though commonly known, the Wii Rockband set. I've only been able to find a couple of them complete localy, but resellers want to ask too much for them. They are much rarer than their XBox and Playstation counterparts.
4.) The Epic Mickey 2 paintbrush and Osward Clicker items. Only used for one game, and not even needed. The game is great though, so I'm sure it will be of value to collectors.
5.) EA strap on body sensors. Used in EA exercise games such as Sports Active and NFL Training camp. Kind of a niche market item.
6.) The uDraw Tablet. Used in the THQ line of drawing 'games'.
7.) The Ubisoft Motion Tracking camera. Biggest reason why I wouldn't put it higher is that only a couple non common excercise games use it.
underrated?... lmfao XD
+Adam Michael To be fair, it's one the greatest selling consoles of all time, but people don't give it enough credit. It has an awesome library of games.
+Avery Jenson hmmm i tend to disagree... yea, mario galaxy is good and smash bros was ok (not as good as melee imo) but the whole system was way too gimmicky and it made finding actual games for the system a chore...
Adam Michael You got a point, but I like the Wii because there are some really great games on there. Not all of them are great; most of them are pretty much crap, but there are some that really take advantage of the systems capabilities. Hey, opinions are opinions though, so I rather not argue over it.
The Wii Mini may not be great, but that won't stop it from being rare and valuable in the future to hardcore collectors who go for Complete Wii collections.
De Blob was my first and fave wii game.
Couldn't help but LOL at Travis Touchdown. What an amazingly corny name.
Sin and Punishment reminds me of a old school type of space harrier, moving around the screen avoiding obstacles rapid firing, I'm gona track down a copy.
I highly recommend NiGHTS Journey of Dreams for your next video. In terms of gameplay, it's largely similar to the Saturn classic, but with better graphics, a deeper storyline and more varied levels. It feels like the game that the original NiGHTS was trying to be.
As for potentially rare accessories, there's always the limited edition stuff like the Gold Wii Remote+ that came with Skyward Sword, the Gold Classic Controller that came with GoldenEye, and the Gold Nunchuk, which is a Club Nintendo exclusive (which sold out very quickly).
I had a nunchuck wireless adapter, might be rare
The first No More Heroes got pretty popular from what I know.
I have close to 2,500 games I think. Not everything is categorized unfortunately. As for favorite Dream Theater tune? Man...that's tough. Love that band. I guess I'll say pretty much every tune on Scenes from a Memory is great. That album is perfect from beginning to end!
I still have to preach that Fishing Resort is one of the biggest hidden gems on the console and nothing at all what you would expect from just looking at the game. I was skeptical about a fishing game but had to try it because it was ported by Xseed and created by Yuji Naka, The Creator of Sonic. I am glad I did pick this hidden gem up because its such a fun game to play. You can pick this up for dirt cheap so don't let it slip by!
Glad to know that No More Heroes was mentioned. Such a damn good game.
Very good video pal!
Here are some other wii games you might have missed: Sky Crawlers: innocent aces / Rune Factory Frontier / Tenchu Shadow Assassin / Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands.
The following ones are a bit more popular... Silent hill: shattered memories / Resident evil: the darkside chronicles.
Enjoy! :3
Hey man, awesome review of some games on this great system. I'd totally recommend you search out Madworld. It plays like a a graphic novel and is a lot like Death Race (without the racing). You are stuck in this island where a virus has been unleashed, playing in a closed circuit game called "Death Watch". You are promised if you keep killing these top ranked players of Death Watch you will get closer to the vaccine. It's like a graphic novel where it's in black and white, but the blood is the only thing in color. It's a fun beat em up, cuts scenes are awesome, you got announcers for Death Watch as you play that are funny, and the game is very vulgar. It's a game you need to own and review!
Official Wii component cables. So many knockoff getting reals one might be the challenge.
Worth having just to use. Probably better quality.
mad world is also good, crazy graphics, gameplay kind of like no more heroes
3:00 I thought Zack and Wiki was a pretty hard game or trial and error! I cant remember!
I also like buying consoles after they have been released for a while. I just got the Wii with RE darkside chronicals, RE 4, super smash bros, dead space, and donkey kong. I also want Mario galaxy 2, the house of the dead, Mario Kart, godfather, and scarface. The games are so cheap these days, except Nintendo games. I just bought a PS4 a few months ago. I was able to purchase so many great games for discounted prices. It was awesome! I have so many games to play.
Im subscribing bro
ricardo lemus Im thanking you bro :)
+MetalJesusRocks me too...... Bro
+MetalJesusRocks I also just just subscribed, I've watched many of your videos and have enjoyed viewing them all and in all honesty I thought I was already subscribed to your channel. No wonder your vids were not popping up on the main screen. lol
Gooshes. Bwahaha, love it. Using that from now on instead of gushes! xD New to watching your videos and enjoying them so far. Subscribed!
This, Fragile Dreams, Shatered Memories and Madworld are some of the hidden gems that i had most fun in this gen!
i cant believe how good some of these wii games look
Dude your little dance at the end xD i love you!! Lol
Batman The Brave & The Bold: The Videogame and Centipede Infestation are both really fun Wii games that can be had for cheap.
Ever tried the Pro Evolution Soccer games on the Wii? I know soccer/football games are very ubiquitous out there, each console gets at least a couple every year, but the Wii PES games had some pretty unique gameplay. It's worth checking out.
I just got the gunblade ny and la machine guns arcade compilation from GameStop for $4. Pretty cool collection of two 90s sega lightgun arcade games. I really wish we had more arcade games released on the wii like this, but I guess the audience wasn't there.
Also many of them I listed either forgotten or just didn't sell at all. So it was worth mentioning.
Some good hidden gems on Wii: Samba De Amigo, Nights: Journey Into Dreams, Sonic Colors(best revival of Sonic), House Of The Dead 2 & 3, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, The Conduit, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. These are all really good Wii games and since you said you love rail shooters I listed about 3 of them I know about.
This channel is pure nostalgia
Even though I usually own most of the games in these gems videos, I still love watching them and hearing your enthusiasm.
Your dancing at the end cracks me up every time. If thats not what you were going for, then I apologize ;-)
Hey mate, love your channel. Have you heard of or played "Ivy the Kiwi?" (Yes, the title has a question mark in the name). I think that's a hidden gem, albeit, not for everyone...
That Wii Mini man... originally only came out in Canada. I think it got a US and EU release, maybe Japan as well, after the Wii U came out, just so they could sell a bit more. It's really cool and pretty cheap which is nice if you're someone just looking to get the Wii for a select few titles AND if you already have a Gamecube and are okay with no Gamecube support (and therefore no GC Controller support for games like SSBB and Mario Kart Wii)
I think a lot of the Golden Wii accessories, like the Golden Classic Controller Pro (which came with Goldeneye 2010), and the Golden Wii Remote (which came with Skyward Sword) will be collectible.
Good to know... there are a lot of hidden gems on the Wii, and most of them are in plain sight! Almost everything you mentioned were games you could find down to $20 brand new after their release, or at least they were when I worked at Target.
You might want to also consider a list of not-so-hidden gems (...preferably with a better name); sometimes big name games are terrible, and it helps put lists like what you've already done into perspective.
The Wii that came with the bundle pack with super smash bros brawl when it 1st came out. It has the burning smash ball on it. I think it'll be rare because it was only avable when brawl 1st came out in stores so very few of them were made let alone purchased
Super Monkeyball Banana Blitz, Excite Truck, Excitebots, Nights Journey Of Dreams, Batman Brave And The Bold. Trauma Center Second Opinion, Trauma Center Trauma Team, Trauma Center New Blood, Elebits, Dewy's Adventure, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Warioware Smooth Moves, Tales Of Symphonia Dawn Of A New World, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby's Return To Dreamland, Wario Land Shake It.
I'd recommend "Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon," "Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love," "Silent Hill: Shattered Memories," "A Boy and His Blob," "Little King's Story," "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers," and "Deadly Creatures" if you're looking for some more hidden gems.
Nice videos on Wii hidden gems. Some Wii games I p/u recently: Xenoblade, Last Story, Pandoras Tower, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Naruto CON 2+3, Endless Ocean1+2, FF Chronicles, Deadly Creatures, Mad World, Fire Emblem, Little Kings Story, Free Running, Firefighter, Dawn of Discovery, Samurai Showdown Anthology, The Calling, Tales of Symphonia, and House of the Dead shooters. Didn't play all yet, but I have got my money's worth with the ones I did so far.
I've never seen so much blood on a Nintendo platform
+Art of Stripey Mad world. it bloodier.
Nintendo don't need gore and blood scenes to be a good option...
Must've missed Killer 7 and Bloodrayne.
I thought the same thing about the Wii Mini, being the final redesign just after the release of the Wii U, so I found it on sale and with an extra price match reduction at best buy I picked it up for 75$. Definitely expecting this to end up being worth at least double in the future.
Zack & Wiki sold less than 200k copies in all of North America... It didn't even crack 500k world wide.
You asked about Wii hardware that will sell for a lot of money in the future.....My top predictions are the gold Wii remote that came with Zelda SS, the gold nunchuck that was available only to Club Nintendo members (and was only available in limited quantities), the gold pro controller that came with Goldeneye 007, and I'd say the original white Wii itself (instead of the red one), seeing that it has the ability to accept SD cards and play Gamecube games.
Just found your channel, think I will be preoccupied for a good while reminiscing on the old PC games playlist. Awesome Channel.
de blob , sin and punishment star sucesser, zach and wiki, a boy and his blob, cursed mountain, disney guilty party, overload2, speed racer, no more heroes 1 and 2.
thx
I think the Resident Evil revolver and knife combo are great accessories for the Wii. Especially if you're into the light gun style on rail shooters. They are already a little hard to find. Also one thing to note, the A button trigger on the revolver doesn't work very well. Luckily Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles doesn't really require the A button. If you can find one it's a neat gun nunchuck combo for the Wii.
I agree on the Red Wii Mini. However I think The Red Mario bros 25th birthday Anniversary Wii will be worth alot or more than the Red Mini Wii. Simply because it too had Full Backwards compatibly with the Game Cube and had more memory as well. Also it came with Super Mario bros Wii and had the beautiful Red Wii Remote and Red Cover to come with it. Luckily this is the one I have.
I remember seeing an add for No More Heroes in the commerical magazine from a toy store, I remember just starring at the 18+ rating and wondering why it was there..!
It's a cool mix of old school 1930s style animation and Mario. Pretty unique
i have played the first and second overlord and never knew there was a wii one MUST BUY WII NOW
The house of the dead overkill revolver attachment for the wiimote seems pretty rare even today! I've only ever encountered one of those on ebay.
What's up Metal Jesus!! Just subscribed to the channel, really enjoying your videos, especially the hidden gems. Your quite the character too. Keep up the great work dude.
Awesome Second part. Hope there's a part 3 because there are still so many really good gems to talk about. As for "rare" Wii stuff in the future, I would guess the Wii Mini, the USB Lan Adapter, the exercise bike controller or the 3rd party Wifi Adapter that got discontinued.
Yo man, can confirm De Blob is good, but De Blob 2 is even better. And yeah, I did play Guilty Party, which was fun, though short af.
I was wanting to know some other games to add to my collection, and here comes MJR to the rescue with an old ass but useful video!
Another great video MJ. My excitement for the Wii is reborn. I'd like to pickup every game on this list!
