As someone who's main has been a transmutation alchemist for 19 yrs because i was hugely into fullmetal alchemist 19 yrs ago, i am very excited to see transmutation feeling important in war within
I want to be honest and say there are other guys I usually check out first for WoW news, but I still watch yours because you're like the David Attenborough voice of WoW content creators.
Yah, same. I never really paid attention to it assuming you got enough points eventually to max it all out... wrong :D After misspending damn near every point, I gave up on profressions.
A lot of us lost a ton of progress by just dumping points here and there. Seeing we got more knowledge this time around, i expect majority of people not to mess up so badly, and the market not to be one sided "Looking at you Elemental Lariat"
1. The Convincingly Realistic Jumper Cables are for everyone to use in combat as they have no Engi requirement and the BRez tinker was removed. 2. The Darkmoon trinkets are really strong right now in the beta, so I'm hoping they'll remain that way for launch. 3. One huge bonus for professions is that there are only a handful of total recipes locked behind renown! 4. There's still some KP locked behind renown.
As long there is no RNG dependent sources for powerful items like Lariat was at launch which led to the lucky few to control the market and charge insane amounts for it.
I've had an alt army for several expansions and now more after remix. I've already chosen my mains that'll level up before my alts. The mains have gathering professions because of xp gain while leveling. I'll be selling on the AH. My alts will be the crafters.
I will mainly be an Engineer. Though I am one of those wierd/boring people that does it for Class/character fantasy :P I have been a main healer since late Weath till now, but this time around I will be maining a Survival Hunter, which is a Gnome with mechanical pet, lobbing bombs and stuff around - only fitting with Engi for the theme.
Lovely video, full of information, sadly as someone coming back after long pause at start of dragonflight, many profession terms or process does not make sense to me like embelished or the tree dots quality 😮
Embelishments are items you can use to make more powerful gear (tailoring, blacksmith, etc.) The 3star quality just means the item is better. Using better ingredients and making the same o Item will make the quality better. When in doubt shoot for highest quality
Think of embellishment as an enchantment of sorts but instead of enchanting it comes from the crafter (tailor,LW,bs etc) and you can only have 2 of them on your gear.
Tough to change my toons to other professions, all my alts now are specialized... thanks to the 'warband' might not be so bad... my main is Alchemy...so that is what it will be first? Thank you for the great info and details. You are the first I am always looking for for info!
I feel like to make flasks more exciting. They need a much bigger boost. You could make it so they do not work in PVP but in normal outdoor zones, they should be double or triple the effect of what they currently are now
I also miss the days that we got cooler stuff than just combat. In Cata we had Potion of Deepholm for a quick teleport, or Potion of Luck to increase drop chances on some things. Then in Draenor we had water walking and water breathing, etc.
Great Video! I just hope they add more to the inscription... It lacks some cool stuff... embellishments look interesting though... I always thought inscription is the profession that should be creating most of the embellishments for others...
Question about the warbands and professions: Will we be able to send craft orders between our warbands if they are on different cluster realms? Today we cannot, but with warbands we'll be able to trade items between clusters we couldn't until warbands were implemented.

@@ToadsTho Well, actually, if I want to play this game and don’t want to swipe, it kind of does. Right? I’m not complaining, I’m giving the solution: get rid of overly time consuming crafting.
*None. Once they announded they're time Gating professions, not allowing you to level it at your own pace, now dictating how much u can level per week, put me off bothering with professions all together.* *There is no need to put weekly restrictions on levelling professions, what they going to do post TWW xpac, a weekly cap on character level? Wouldn't surprise me!!*
They did this because the people that played 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, got so far ahead by hard grinding knowledge points that it made it feel impossible for everyone else to catch up. Now those people can spend more time doing other things in game and everyone else won't give up on professions because they'll actually feel they can keep up. It will also help stop people from price gouging certain items because the majority of the player base will be crafting nearly the same items at the same time. I think it will be a good change.
@@courtney4173 @courtney4173 i respectfully disagree. Players have had the freedom to level as much as they want since the games inception, and to make such a big change like this is a kick in the teeth to those who want to max their professions in the first week, which is what I've done every time. Blizzard is looking for more ways of time gating more of the game with every xpac, resulting in more and more restrictions, and can't ever see that as a good thing. Their logic must be to keep players online longer, which doesn't. It creates less engaging and fulfilling content and puts people off the game altogether. I level professions so i can take full advantage of them, like blacksmithing and leather working where i can level them by crafting gear as i level, but now i would have to limit how much i level per week to take full advantage of professions and that sucks . So, from that standpoint, it's definitely not a good thing because it literally disrupts the flow of my character levelling. It's a needless change.
can they PLEASE remove hte binds when picked up for EVERYTHING I can make as a BS. I still don't understand work orders. Its such a convoluted system that is unwanted and unnecessary.
Usual story - If you have no life and can spend 20 hours a day playing WoW, you can make money with crafting professions in the early days of the expansion. Everyone else is screwed.
OK, let’s be real here. The crafting system kind of sucks. To make any money you have to beat out the competition. This is gold in a video game come on. It should not be like a real life job. The whole system is total due or die. Meaning that if you were just a casual Andy you are not going to want to put the time in to do crafting at any meaningful level. So whatever basic items you can create are going to be temporary placeholders at Best. And when you spend a lot of time crafting you miss out on a lot of relevant gameplay, but that’s the only way, you are going to stay ahead of the curve and keep up with competition.
Way too complex and not worth the effort for a casual player. I used to love professions and worked diligently at levelling all the way to the Dragonflight release, but I will definitely be skipping professions again. Not to mention, my bags are littered with many levels of crafting items. Not fun or enjoyable unless that's someone's main purpose to play the game.

@@MarsJimmy For a lot of people this is more fun than raiding 3 hours and wiping on 1 boss, or pushing higher keys.
@@ZondaRbg I didn’t consider that, I suppose you are right
*None. Once they announded they're time Gating professions, not allowing you to level it at your own pace, now dictating how much u can level per week, put me off bothering with professions all together.*
*There is no need to put weekly restrictions on levelling professions, what they going to do post TWW xpac, a weekly cap on character level?
It's a needless change.
meh... those new professions mechanics are just too much work and not fun for me. Gonna skip again.
can they PLEASE remove hte binds when picked up for EVERYTHING I can make as a BS. I still don't understand work orders. Its such a convoluted system that is unwanted and unnecessary.
Usual story - If you have no life and can spend 20 hours a day playing WoW, you can make money with crafting professions in the early days of the expansion. Everyone else is screwed.
You sound miserable. Probably touch grass.
Go double gatherer. The profession trees are easy and you can make good money, especially early on.
