I did cleans at 90% today at my box and I took your advise from last vlog about it being a leg movement and not a pull. I did the "jump" and I hit an EASY PR. Thanks and great advice!
It's been a huge interaction watching your journey with weightlifting and I can't wait to compete against you at the Brits. I've had a similar journey with quadricep tendonitis on the build up just 10kg less on the lifts so just looking forward to being there and lifting with some amazing people. Keep up the great content!!

Love the vids! You mentality and tips have helped a lot with my lifts!!! Recently hit a power clean PR at 165 lbs. Then Monday hit a WOD 10 RFT 1 power clean at 155 lbs and 4 50 ft shuttle runs. Managed to get all the power cleans without failing once. Might need to push for another PR soon. WDQ

Not saying one is better/worse than the other, but squatting in lifters allows you to move your COM a bit further back, which can reduce the stress on the knee. Might be something to consider when deciding between lifters and flat shoes. I hope your knee holds up and you can send some weights at the comp. It is inspirational to see you work so hard for it!
Love the hoodies but I got an XL hoodie that in min 1:20 and it feels like a belly top. The bagginess is spot on, it's just the length. I'm only 6'3, usually XL has good length.
now that you are wearing Vivo's to squat, maybe look into the TYR lifters, they make a wide toe box version that allows your toes to splay better and not be so pinched...
Sorry if this is intrusive: how much are you going to weigh on competition day? I have always kept up with the Crossfit content, but this is the first time I am catching the strength competition stuff. You both are crushing it, so it will be easy to get that confidence up by competition day! You got this, Legend!!
@TeamRICHEY is it beneficial for you to be as close to that 89kg as possible or do you feel better being lighter? You have such great technique on your lifts, that I wouldn't even know you were injured had you not said anything about it! Please do keep posting updates on this journey to competition!
Hey Craig and Jas - can you explain the "getting knoced out" thing? i know what it looks like and seen it in the box, but ... i dont know what is happening in the body and/or why you bring in your dietary advisor on the issue? :)
Hey Craig, hoping you'll see this - I hurt my back in December of '23 and it's still annoying me so much to the point I can't clean or snatch - I know you had back trouble for a long time, was there anything specific you done to get back to training? I'm in a bad place 💔
Take some time to train your mind.Practice relaxation first thing in the morning.Just sit still and relax and breath out slower than you breath in.The trick with stress is to learn how to put it aside and be able to be still in the moment.It's easy when you train for it.Just like getting stronger.
Gotta ask - any reason when warming up/training (not maxing or testing) you don't wear compression sleeves (knee/leg) on the knee that's nothing you? Not an expert but don't compression sleeves just assist in the warming/lubing up of the knee as well as support (if needed). I often take my knee sleeves off after hitting 70%/80% when training
awkward got to where you talked about the belt/lifter at 80% and above if wanted, but no so much needed. So new question: Any thoughts on knee sleeves/compression to assist in the training with the Knee?

The compression and knee sleeve honestly because they’re made of neoprene fabric I’m semi allergic to it so it really messes up my skin 😅
