I bought mine last year and did the following upgrades to it:
* Shimano mt200 hydraulic brakes
* AdventX drive-train
* 32T Narrow-wide chain ring
* Chester RaceFace Pedals
* Specialized FastTrak tires
I'm super happy with it, and I'm really looking forward to getting it out again now that the weather's warming up.
The upgrades they made to from last year are great as well, especially as a beginner bike (the LTWoo drive-train on last year's model wasn't the greatest).
Very nice! Hydros are a game changer to cheaper mechanical brakes. I’ve not experienced the LTWoo stuff yet, but those look cheap. Narrow wides help too! Mine only dropped the chain once.
Get out there and enjoy it! 😁👍🏻
great video! keep up the amazing work.
Thank you! Will do!
To engage the Spring clutch, use a 5mm Allen key and turn to the right. The lever is used to disengage it.
Right on! I knew there was a trick. Sadly, I feel they could have put a little lever where the Allen is instead of require that person to carry a tool around. Poor planning!
@@ForslundFunFactory agreed. I find the Spring lock works better than the regular clutch derailleurs. I only engage it when I am mountain biking on blue or black trails. Since I always carry a multi tool, not a problem, but I agree, maybe a knob you can twist with your hand would be better.
I got a second hand one and upgraded breaks, crank, derailleur and fork, love it!
Looks like the new version comes with narrow-wide chairing and clutched derailleur; because mine did not.
Glad you are having fun with it! The updated version seems to have some good additions
Be interesting to remove the BB and see if they upgraded it from the exploding one they originally specced it with. Dont need to ride out somewhere and have to walk back.
Never heard about those! Mine seemed to spin nice and smoothly.
I bought mine summer of last year. The BB was clicking since the 3rd-4th ride. I’m replacing it this weekend but it still works 💪
@@versescapes4385 there's some cheap Chinese branded BBs for 24mm axle cranks (Shimano/GXP) that I can't even get one ride out of. And that's riding urban, down a few stairs, off kerbs. No off-road big drops and jumps. A basic Shimano BB will last. False economy sticking this type of rubbish in.
Looking for decent bike rigth now plan to get a salsa bike next year
That’s awesome Scott! Get one you like to look at, one that is comfortable, and one within your price range. Remember to get out and ride it and get your moneys worth! Exercise is necessary. 💪👍
Can you check to see if the front wheel has 2 black springs on the quick release like the back does when I bought it tonight I had to take it apart to fit in car and when I got home the front only had 1 spring not sure if I dropped it at the store parking lot
It should have two but should be safe with one also
@@ForslundFunFactory I went back to Walmart and found it on the ground where I was parked so all good now thank you for the reply
Clutch derailer is New. Got mine in July 23 and it didn't have it.
I didn’t spend much time playing around with it. It wasn’t a simple flip of the little lever on it. Oh well!
I bought this bike and the derailleur hanger broke two weeks in.
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. What a bummer. If you don’t mind me asking, how did that happen? Hit a rock?
@@ForslundFunFactory I was shifting, it was so weird.
Well, sorry to hear about your bad experience. Did yours have the micro shift shifter and derailleur or the LTWOO? Did you return it?
You can find the hanger online it’s $35
