- It's not every day you get to drop jigs offshore alongside a fishing legend like Capt. Bouncer Smith. The Johnny Jigs crew was invited to join Capt. Bouncer and Michael Falk of Falk Fishing Adventures on the Anglers Envy Charters. They once again got hooked up on the infamous American Red Snapper, as well as the occasional Snowy Grouper, while doing what they love most: Slow Pitch Jigging.
This day was an experience of a lifetime, trading insights and stories of conquering the seas while honing in on one of Florida’s most anticipated catches of the year. Unfortunately for us, the season is still closed. But that wasn't going to stop the Johnny Jigs Team from finding out where they lived.

I just received the 130g Railer silver ghost glow in my jig of the month package. I can’t wait to get out to the Dry Tortugas on July 15th to start catching some ARS and mutton on it.
I bet those Railers are going to put a hurting on the Bluefin tuna next spring, too.

Cmon you know releasing red snapper has nothing to do with NOAA expanding the south Atlantic season. The numbers are 100% there to make the season longer. It’s all about the money.
Robert, I agree that the numbers are there for the snapper, and so do many scientists and captains that I speak with. The descending tool discussion was about all the species of fish, not just the snapper. We are trying to educate to improve our fishery only.
I wish we had a yellow eye season here at least regulat it to 1 a year in Washington state
Any agency that thinks they can count the amount of fish in an ocean should be immediately disqualified from being in charge. They are clueless
@@JohnnyJigsTV If there is truly a problem with red snapper, then shut down the commercial quota too. Why should the recs take the brunt of this. The rec side of things generates way more economic activity that the comms. And who gifted the commercials a public resource?
I'm really not an authority on the matter, but I do agree with you 💯. One day of red snapper is completely ridiculous.
