Very few singers can make me cry with their voice. Floor is just one of a kind.
For those of you having a hard time describing how you feel when she sings, there is a well known term for it. It's called a Floorgasm. She is her own category of vocalist and she causes her own category of emotions 😍
This one really hits home and show the world of her magical ability to create such fragility and vulnerability as well as belting to the high heavens. Rare and unique talent. Loved it Schnell.
Same show, she also does covers of "Winner" for Tim Akerman, and others. But her presentation of "Winner" makes my eyes leak, every time. There is a backstory though.. Tim Akerman wrote this song for his brother after an accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, I believe. (I read this elsewhere but can't recall where.) Young lady, keep reacting, you are a breath of fresh air, for many of us. God Bless.

She's the best.
I often hear about how talented/wonderful/amazing/powerful Floor is. And she is. But more than any of that, she is PRACTICED. She wasn't born able to do this. She trained herself to do this. Is there a physical capability involved? Of course, but it's not like she's some mutant doing things others have no chance of replicating. She put in the work singing, she put in the work in her education, she put in the work listening to other singers. That gave her the context in her mind to imagine this performance, and the delicate, masterful control over her instrument to make that imagined performance a reality. This is dedication in action.
Floor is great, and she is great in this particular show. "Beste Zangers" is a Dutch (?) show and it is worth watching. It is on CZcams. Entire episodes. Format is a host and 6 or 7 of the "best singers". One singer is chosen on each episode to be in the seat of honor. The other singers then perform for that singer, singing a song they have written, or a song which might have meaning for the honoree. It is a really good show, and the other singers in this particular season are very entertaining. You can watch Floor reduce one of the young male singers to tears when it is his turn to be honored.
Other singers cringe when they hear the words: "Floor Jensen is doing a cover or your song".

If Floor was a recording artist in the USA...she would be beyond famous! But...considering she is the lead singer of one of most famous bands in Europe, South America, Mexico, Japan etc...and more and more Americans are becoming members of the Nightwish Army...Nightwish is gaining in popularity here in the US.
When I first heard this, I couldn't tell where and when the goosebumps started or ended. She is just out of this world. I think the fact that she can deliver emotions so well with her voice is somehow connected to the fact that she is a hypersensitive person. Greets from Germany!

Floor Jansen has released 09.09.2022 the song number 3 from her becoming Solo Album and it is called "Floor Jansen - Me Without You (Official Music Video)" - it is even better than previously released 2 first songs "Fire" or "Storm" - It is very PoP/R&B Song, the whole Album is going to be more Mainstream/Pop - please react to all of them 3 songs..
It was during rehearsels that the band told her to keep it small

This is so 2019 ;-) During covid and after Beste Zangers Floor started a solo career next to her main job at Nightwish. At the Pinkpop Festival this year, about 100 km south of where she grew up, she did two shows on one day, first her solo show featuring Henk Poort and then later the Nightwish concert.
See her live next saturday in Hertme the Netherlands and on sunday she will sing or national anthem for the Dutch Grand Prix Formule 1! what a weekend!
Floor is now recordeing her first solo album. Scheduled for 2023.

Nightwish has never been just about full blast either. It's always been about dynamic - harder parts feel harder when you have also softer parts and songs.
Check for example How's The Heart, acoustic Planet Rock session. It's just Floor, Troy and an acoustic guitar.
Great that you are a fan of Floor Jansen (pronouced "yonsin") and Nightwish as well. Can HIGHLY recommend you react to Nightwish's Poet and the Pendulum. So many ranges in Floor's vocals and are it is so perfect!! Careful though...if you read the backstory on it, you will have to have a box of tissues when you react to the song.

Floor appeared on a German version of Beste Zangers called Sing Mienen Song. The videos are hard to find, but she absolutely slays every performance on that show- in German no less! German opera?...Check, German Pop?....Check, German rap?....Check! Just brilliant all around.

i think she can sing most of genres if she want to, maybe Mongolian throatsong style takes time to learn but I think if she want to learn that, she will.
Did you know she has the hounour of singing the Dutch anthem at the beginning of the F1 (formula 1 racing) Dutch Grand Prix next sunday? I can't wait!! For me as a dutchie it will be awesome. Greetings from The Netherlands.

I also like EPICA very much, i love the virtual EPICA - OMEGA ALIVE conzert they did last year, i would like it very much if you could do an reaction from the song "The Skeleton Key" or "Kingdom of Heaven Part 3" from that Epica conzert. I would like if you did an NW reaction from the somg "Wishmaster" from the "End of an Era" conzert with Tarja! It was Tarjas last NW conzert but for me and many others it's one of the best live conzerts with her. Or another song with Floor, maybe the Wacken '13 show opener "Dark Chest of Wonders!"

Oh yes, Floor is a great metal singer but she is much more, all her Beste Zangers shows worth to be listened, they are all great, and her Sing Meinen Songs 2022 performances as well (link for the audio in her YT channel, video available only in the VOX web site).

If the US would apreciate doing a "Best singers" type like they did in Holland or Germany, It woiuld be amazing for her solo carreer. just got to put that US singer ego aside and appreciate each others music, fingers crossed 🤞🤞 ...but of course keep the course Family/Nightwish/solo. Never stop being Tuoma's emotional output as it just seems to have been meant to be.

The perfect complement to Gaga's version. One is not better than the other but both work with each other to wring the full spectrum of the emotional impact inherent in the song.
Kris Kristoffersen and Barbara Streisand version is pretty good too, I haven't heard the first version of the song yet.
