You are a real teacher and you have golden voice, thank you so much👍🏽🙏
I've watched so many crocheting videos and this is an Excellent excellent video and instructions. Clearly showed the placement of stitches, nice steady pace, easy to crochet along with video, great camera view, no excessive talking. Best ever!! Love learning the circle technique instead of the octagon shape. Will use this in all my hats and baskets from now on. Thank you, you're a great teacher.
*Prompt delivery with great packaging **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s the hat is just as described with the fit being perfect. Really going to enjoy using my hat.*
I watched your video and it made lots of sense after making the hats, I really appreciate you explaining the process of how to do the increases, I really learned a lot from this video, I’m new at crocheting and have seen several videos, but you really explained it really well. Again thanks 🙂
Thank you 😊
Finally, s o m e o n e who knows how to teach... whew! Thank you. 😄

I just finished making one using 24/7 cotton yarn - it came out really cute! My 31 year old daughter really likes it too! Because hats are often too small on me, I added one more increase round after round 14 AND I added 2 more SC rounds before the brim. Lastly, instead of 3, 4, & 6 SC in the final increase rows, I did 4, 5, & 8 SC. It was easy and it worked! Fits very comfortably, feels light - not heavy 👍 Thank you for the great video.
That is fabulous 😃
Oh hurray at last! Instructions in English! Saving this one.
You are such a great teacher! This is what I have been waiting on! I have lupus and severe loss of hair. Thank you so much!!!❤️
Love the video, clear spoken and written instructions as you go along. Definitely my next project in time for summer. Thank you.
This is a great video. I have made several bucket hats from other videos but yours is the best. Thank you.
Following your enthusiastic guidance, I finished the bucket hat I wanted to make for a long time. I enjoyed and subscribed. Thanks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years
Love the summer Version, definitely my next project. Thank you.

You’re welcome 😊
Thanks you have an excellent voice to follow, thank you have a wonderful day
This should be a fun hat for a change. Thank you ❤️😊
Yes, it's fun and easy!!
THANKYOU - so many dc or hdc patterns but i really wanted the firmer structure. Also this parallels basic toy making so i'm optimistic my minimal skills will cope.
Excellent, clear and completely focused on the matter in hand.
Your lovely simple presentation is an actual relief!!
Thankyou so much.
Thank you. I hope you like how it turns out. 😊
I love how you explain every step, Thank you very much.
this is by far the best video for hat. good to know that i can use the twine cord. You are a great instructor.
Thank you 😊
Love this video so very easy to follow ❤
Thank you I have learn something new in this tutorial.
I have been looking for a easy bucket hat pattern for awhile. This is now my go to. Thank you!
Love the video well explained
Very nice hat 👒 thank you I tried to make it ❤️🙏
I just made your pattern using a straw/paper yarn for my Halloween costume's hat. I expanded the brim a little bit and it makes a great hat for Luffy from One Piece. Thank you for putting this up!
I actually wanted to make one as Luffy’s! how am I able to expand the brim?
Excellent presentation
Great on the Frio River!! Fits fine, like the brim size!
This is a great tutorial. Thank you!! 🙌🏻
I've tried other videos but your tutorial was the most helpful! Great pace and simple explanations. Much appreciated!!
Finally someone explained the difference about acrylic yarn!😅 I had been following those tutorials and I can't seem to get why mine is kinda different tho I thoroughly followed the instructions 🥲 Big thanks 💜 and now I need to redo my project.. 😭🥲 Luckily I found this vid 😭
You are welcome😃
Absolutely love them! Going to try them for sure! Thank you!
So glad!
I appreciate your patience in doing this video. You make it easy to follow. I didn't know about crocheting up or down. I started today crocheting down on this pattern and it is turning out beautiful. I see that there aren't those spaces in between stitches. I like this crochet method better. When will I have to use up crocheting? What kind of items uses up crochet?
Nice tutorial

❤❤❤ from România,And thank you.
Wonderful tutorial. I tried with thread and f hook hoping to fit a 3 year old. Or what adjustments should I make to fit a 3 year old?
Lindo mesmo 😍
Couldn't agree more
I agree with the comments, good thank you
Great tutorial. Spoken instructions and visual were clear and precise. Best I have watched. I bought cotton raffia, would that work the same.
I think it would be beautiful with that!😃
Love this pattern. Could you show a couple more row increases for a larger size. Thank you
Thank u so much for sharing this pattern it's so easy to understand. I did for my 3 years grandauther but when I almost done noticing that it was bit loose .what is this size age for thank u again.
This is adult. You would have to stop increasing sooner to make it smaller.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰
I have this yarn called rewind tape yarn by lion brand. can I use this to make the hat? And if so do I need to change hook size?
Great instructions just one question how do I make the brim roll up more?
Stop increasing sooner.
Love this pattern, and your instructions are very easy to follow. I was wondering about changing the last of the ending 2 rows of sc, to use the crab stitch on the very last row. I think it would make the brim firmer, and also give a lovely finishing border to the brim and to the overall hat. I’m going to eXperiment. What do you think? ❤
I love that idea!😊
@@StephanieZed, I started out with the crab st, however, after about 5 inches, I could see that it does not give a satisfying trim, and instead, I added another row of sc.
I made this hat but mine is pretty flat on the top. I wish it had a more domed shape on the top.
This sounds lovely. Do you think a 3 weight 100% cotton yarn is too heavy for a summer hat? Also, I would love written instructions 😊
I wrote them down as I watched.
hiiii, how many grams of yarn were you able to use for 1 hat? thank you!
I just discovered your tutorial fir these cute crocheted hats. I see that the tutorial is at least a year old. What "Dollar Store" did you find your Craft Twine in? What is the fiber content? And what might I substitute for the Craft Twine for the summer hat. Your hats are so CUTE! Thanks for a reply.
I got it from a Dollarama in Canada. It has a bit of a sheen to it and is about 2mm thickness.
@@StephanieZed thank you. I'm on South Carolina so thats why I couldn't find it. Do you know the fiber content by any chance? Is the size about a 3 (DK) or a 4 (worsted) weight? That might be helpful to me to find a substitute that will have enough body.
What would be the best way to make the brim wider? I am very excited to try this pattern, thank you ❤️
Just keep increasing. Every other row. 😃
@@StephanieZed okay thank you that makes sense! I appreciate your quick response, thank you!
Thank you for your easy video tutorial. Do you have a written instruction, by any chance?
Hi. No, sorry. I just write it on the top as you watch. 😊
hi i finish crochet bucket hat but its a bit loose. so i want to make it tight a little bit. but i dont know what to do 🥲
I am having a hard time finding the craft twine that you are using, I have searched dollar stores, Amazon, Walmart, hobby lobby, any suggestions?
Can I use cotton yarn instead? What brand would recommend? I really love the pattern and you give great directions, very easy to follow🥰
I think it would turn out great with cotton yarn. 😊
Sugar N Cream 100% cotton yarn is fantastic and comes in tons of colors. It’s my favorite.
What size hook did you use
What size hook?
😊
How do you make increase to get a bigger brim for the hat? Thanks
Just put 2 sc together, in one stitch. Space it out evenly. Maybe just 4 increases in the round.
Hiii... I really love your videos but I'm having trouble making the right size do you know why? After round 12 I only have 11cm and you have 18cm I don't know why it keeps turning out so small I'm confused. If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated thank youu!
The hats look great. Could you make them from cotton yarn as well?
I have made them with cord and acrylic, I think it would work great with cotton.
@@StephanieZed Thank you!
Do you use the full Bernat skein of yarn for the cream hat or about half?
About half😃
Hi! Can you please teach us also how you put those yarn/design on the brim.😅
For the white hat, I just wove the yarn in and out. For the grey hat, I did a slip stitch with the black yarn and did 2 rows. :)
Hi.i decided to stop at row 13....do I start the brim with 2sc inc, 2 SC instead of 3 SC....will this make brim too wide.
It will depend on your yarn. You might just have to try it.
Where did you purchase craft twine. Is it cotton .
Hi, when increase near the end up to increase then 4sc, then 2 rows sc in each stitch. Then next row increase and 6sc do you skip 5sc, I confused at this point.
What time in the video are you referring to?
@@StephanieZed 31.26
Hi I'm new here. I want to do the same thing but with a 1.5mm crochet hook and crochet thread. Is it possible to do so? Or should I stick to the same sizes of the yarn and hooks? Please advice.
You can use a small hook. You have to increase your circle until you have the correct size.
@@StephanieZed Thank you.
is the twine cotton? i try to find one with a similar look to the one in the video but all i can find is cotton.
It is more like nylon
Love your hat's, what was the thickness of the crafter's yarn
I think it is 2mm or 3mm. Sorry I don’t have exact.
@@StephanieZed thank you that helps 👍
8:26 love this pattern but is there a way to make the brim straight not curley?❤
You would have to do more increases in the rows. Just spread them out evenly.
Do you use military wire. I find the brim so floppy unless I use cotton. I can’t crochet a project this large cotton hurts my hands.
I have never used wire, but I will try for my next one. 😃
I made it and it's great...but way to big for me. 😔 . Going to make a other one with twine....wish me luck!
Stop increasing the rows sooner. 😃
What do I do if the sides don't bend down like they're supposed to? My tension isn't too loose or too tight, I'm increasing correctly, and I stop increasing when it's time to make the sides. I use a stitch marker and count to make sure all my rows have the right number of stitches. But when I make go to make the sides, I end up with a bigger, slightly curled but not hat-shaped circle, instead of a bowl shape like it is supposed to be, even though I've stopped increasing. What could I be doing wrong? I'm using worsted weight acrylic yarn. Thank you.
You could try adding more rows. It should go down, kind of like a floppy hat. If you want you can send me a picture to my instagram.
@@StephanieZed @StephanieZed I've tried that but all extra rows do is make a bigger circle even though I'm not increasing. It doesn't matter how many rows I have, it still won't bend. I don't have any social media. I could only send you a picture if you have an email address.
Can i used a cotton yarn friends thanks watching from Philippines
Yes. I also have a bucket hat pattern that I use cotton.
Where can I purchase the craft twine?I tried using 100% cotton and it was not stiff enough.
I purchased mine from a dollar store here in Canada. You could try on line.
How did you insert the ribbon lace??
I just weaved in and out between the stitches😊
Could you use cotton to make this hat would the pattern be the same
Yes, you can definitely use cotton.
If I want a wider brim ?
Keep going around. Do 4-6 increase in every other row.
Hola amiga hermosos sombreros enséñanos por favor gracias
Hi. The craft cord that you use, how many mm thick is it please?
It’s about 2 mm
What brand is the twine?
I picked it up from Dollarama in Canada. It was only $3 CAD. There was no name on it, just Craft Twine.
👊🌹
May I know what type of yarn did u use?
I used cord. But for the grey one I used #4 medium weight Acrylic.
What hook to use for twine?
You can use any hook. It depends on the thickness of you twine.
Is there a written version of this hat and for what age group?
I do not have a written pattern. The hat is adjustable to any size. Thank you.
What material is. The twine and what size is it?
It is a cord. You can use anything. Try something that has a bit of stiffness, cotton works well too!
@@StephanieZed TY.. It looks like your cord has a sheen to it. Can't wait to find cord to make one!
every time i start the sides instead of the sides going down they just increased the circle. please help i’m going insane
It looks like that at first, but it will start to shape after a few rows. As long as your stitches are not increasing.
@@StephanieZed but when i start to single crochet it doesn’t start to go down even after like 4 or 5 rows and it’s so weird because i made another hat following the exact same pattern
What is the thread size?
For the acrylic yarn hat, is #4 medium weight.
What size hook
5mm hook
No written pattern?
Good question!

Hi! May I sell a hat made with your pattern? I'll just tag you in my post😅
Yes, absolutely!😃
@@StephanieZed Thank you so much!
This pattern is confusing because you are doing two different project at one time.
Same project. Just showing you in a colour that is easier to see when you video. 😃
@@StephanieZed thank you
trying to jump around to the hat you want to make is ridiculous
It is the same pattern, I just show you how 1 yarn makes it bigger.
