I've watched so many crocheting videos and this is an Excellent excellent video and instructions. Clearly showed the placement of stitches, nice steady pace, easy to crochet along with video, great camera view, no excessive talking. Best ever!! Love learning the circle technique instead of the octagon shape. Will use this in all my hats and baskets from now on. Thank you, you're a great teacher.

I just finished making one using 24/7 cotton yarn - it came out really cute! My 31 year old daughter really likes it too! Because hats are often too small on me, I added one more increase round after round 14 AND I added 2 more SC rounds before the brim. Lastly, instead of 3, 4, & 6 SC in the final increase rows, I did 4, 5, & 8 SC. It was easy and it worked! Fits very comfortably, feels light - not heavy 👍 Thank you for the great video.

I use a stitch marker and count to make sure all my rows have the right number of stitches. But when I make go to make the sides, I end up with a bigger, slightly curled but not hat-shaped circle, instead of a bowl shape like it is supposed to be, even though I've stopped increasing.
