That question about minimum pay is so legit. Why wouldn't anyone think about it? Money is not everything but it is a major part to work better. For starters obviously it is a crucial factor to know. How the boss rebuked the question was such a bummer. Only when someone can sustain living with a decent starting pay, only then they can think more about dedication & maybe some sacrifice later.

She asked a question if the pay is enough for them to survive with the rising cost of living. And he answers first by saying she’s in a major (she said that she a freshman in some hotel service) that doesn’t suit her because she wants enough money to eat? And asks her to switch her goals???? (And he seems so unsure about his own hotel too)

Lol... cmon.. this dude got his job because he's the owner's son! Not because he earned it. So at the end of the day he'd be working in the kitchen if not for daddy. People who have not earned their positions in life, but were "given" their positions are fakes. Simple as that. It doesn't matter that he can perform the duties of his job. He'd never have it in the first place if it weren't for who he was born to. Nothing to brag about.

True. But I do think he deserves it. Daddy's money doesn't give u brains. He's managed to keep the hotel even through covid so I think he's done his fair share but ofc he's privileged and there no denying of it.

Nepotism is really on the rise in South Korea (also known as Chaebols).

Lol. Someone from no where wants to talk about privileges that someone was born with not asked to be born with. A position is faked based on an unknown understandings of the world? The moment u look down on anything (given or hardwork) u r no different from someone who is in a privileged position. You think it easy to sustain inherited wealth? Everyone is given something (privilege, opportunity or investment). Are u God to know what is world would be if he was born into a middle class family? Sitting on your high horse being a condescending person (that is a privilege as well).

Once he said he got this job with the help of his dad I got why his comments on the pay were so off. He said they should be working not for the pay but for pride? Honestly confounding, and he probably thinks this way since he hasn't had to struggle financially and got into this job because he wanted to. I don't think he's a bad boss, but there are several points he needs to work on. Pride isn't enough to pay the bills and he doesn't seem to be able to understand that due to his privileged background

I was interested in what she was saying. If I was thinking of coming to your hotel that is off putting.

Dude….. if you want to see what the employees prepared, you should have set up a review/rehearsal with them BEFOREHAND. And the least you could have done is not to diss them in front of others! So rude and lack of self-awareness. And how the hell do you not know of the starting pay at YOUR hotel???? I thought he was a competent boss before but it looks like he only cares about what is beneficial to him and not about others at all. Characteristic of narcissistics. Ugh
