Investing in ETFs removes the overbearing stress from you having to pick individual stocks and allows you to invest passively with a hands-off approach that can make you rich long term.
Here are 3 reasons why ETFs (exchange-traded funds) are a powerful and stress-free way to passively grow your money.
1. ETFs provide an efficient way to diversify your portfolio by covering most asset classes and sectors. Rather than putting all your money into one extremely risky basket, investing in an ETF based on the S&P 500 will give you exposure to hundreds of the country’s largest and best companies.
2. ETFs are passively managed and have much lower expense ratios than mutual funds which are actively managed. You can also buy an ETF for the price of 1 share, which could be as little as $50 or as much as a few hundred dollars depending on the ETF.
3. ETFs are also tax-efficient. The majority of ETFs hold stocks in their portfolios for long periods of time. As a result, most returns generated through ETFs will be taxed at the capital gains rate, rather than the income tax rate.
If you want to keep things are simple and passive as possible, then you can honestly just invest in a total stock market ETF like VTI and outperform 99% of active investors.

Nobody can become financially successful over night. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.
@Christina-Gisela Alice Marie Coraggio her trading strategies is working for me for more than a year now and I’m making good profit from the stock market and she's 100% honest, reputable and trustworthy..
VDE Energy looking great going into Fall and Winter 2022.
I'm a newbie..if I open Roth IRA with vanguard can I do the you recommended and ETF?
Yes, VTI is the ETF with no minimum investment requirement (not financial advice). Be sure to check income limits, etc. before investing in a Roth IRA.
If you could only invest in VTI or VOO, which would you choose? And why?
If I had to choose, VTI because it's more diversified. However, you can't go wrong with either.
VDE
Nice.. thanks josh another great info
Really appreciate that, Rio! 🙏😀
Do u recommend investing into an etf with a high dollar figure right now even though the prices are so high. Or wait for a dip?
Great question! I personally do a combination of both. I like to dollar cost average every week and also buy dips in the market as well. However, I invest in ETFs because I know that I will consistently get a return of around 10-30% every year (VTI and VOO). So don't focus on how high the prices are right now. Zoom out and look at the growth over the last year, 10 years, etc. Hope this helps!
always best to do a DCA statistically it provides the best chance at capturing highest upside.. let's keep building the dream
So many channels with waffle. This is one of the first clear videos I’ve seen that I can actually understand. Appreciate it.
Thanks so much for this comment! Really glad that you enjoyed the video.😀
Isn't investing in VOO and VTI at the same time redundant?
Yes a lot of overlap
Are ETFs a good investment for a ten year period?
What happens if Vanguard goes bankrupt or something happens to them?
Vanguard is one of the most well known and respected brokerages with more than $7.50 trillion in assets under management. Is it completely risk free? No, but no brokerage is. If you're worried about investing 100% in Vanguard, then you can simply diversify and invest across other funds like Fidelity ETFs and index funds.
@@JoshBurnsTech thank you so much!
@@llai8501 You're welcome!
Vanguard bankrupt u must not know Vanguard
vanguard is worth 7.1 trillion as of recent which is about the side of the GDP of japan, UK, germany ... don't think they'll go bankrupt.. just DCA and keep focused on the end goal
Great video, what are your thoughts on VGT? Do you think it will keep growing in the future
I like it a lot as a higher risk higher reward ETF. Returns over the past 10 years are great, but you lose the diversification that you get with VTI or VOO. VGT has over 400 holdings, but is heavy in APPL and MSFT. Personally, I would allocate a smaller percentage of my ETF portfolio to it. The majority of my ETF holdings are in VTI and VOO and my Roth IRA is mostly the VTSAX total stock market index fund.
@@JoshBurnsTech Ok thank you sir

Hi Josh.
About freelanceing now; What do you advise in a situations where clients send interview invitations to ask you to work on a project as a "test run" or "demo" b4 they eventually create a contract and hire you?
This mostly happens to new freelancer.
Personally, I would decline those invitations. I'm fairly certain that would violate terms of service for the client. No contact information, etc. should be exchanged before a contract starts. And honestly, asking for "free work" it cheating the system from my perspective. With that being said, I would choose not to work with those clients.
However, if you find the client off Upwork and you're looking for a way to gain experience for your portfolio then in that situation it can be useful for you. Otherwise, I would stay away from those clients.
@@JoshBurnsTech got it, thanks for the swift response 🙏
