TV Producer Vanishes After Sudden Run Down A Cliff (Terrence Woods & Connie Johnson)

  • Terrence Woods and Connie Johnson both disappeared on October 5, 2018, in Idaho and in very close proximity to one another. Both individuals vanished without a trace, leaving essentially no evidence behind, and many lingering questions. Terrence Woods' disappearance was particularly disturbing as he literally sprinted down a cliff in front of a film crew, and ran into the nearby forest never to be seen again. Both of these disappearances share similarities with the multitude of other bizarre missing person cases.

      have mixed feelings about the dog coming home!!! I’m glad he got back home and was safe, but on the other hand, where ever this woman was taken, and by whom, I’m sure it would have been VERY consoling to have her familiar dog with her!!!

    Took a buddy to a park in Martinsville, IN. Large hill with a great view. Pretty good hike up for a young man. At the top, just looking at the view, and he takes off running down the hill! I watched him as his legs couldn’t keep up with his rate of descent and he tripped. He was actually drifting about a foot off the ground, equal with the grade, long enough to rotate 180 degrees. With arms spinning, he traveled this way about twenty yards until his heels contacted the ground at which point, gravity slammed him to the surface. He rolled and tumbled another forty yards and came to a stop. It took me and some others more than a few minutes to reach him. After a few more minutes he finally came to. I asked him why he did what he did, and he stated, “I just felt like running down the hill was something I should do.” He ended up with a concussion and a week or so of headaches.

    both totally eerie: Terence suddenly running fast down a steep rugged cliff into the woods never to be found was so bizarre; Connie's dog appearing suddenly, returning normally found at a station found 14 miles away from where Connie had her camp but Ace did not want to go into the forest again & that says something .

      I'm pretty sure that Terrance got into a argument that day with atleast one person... camera crew said he wasn't himself and it's also strange how many of these people who are never heard from again are intelligent people.. look at how many scientists and doctors etc have went missing in the last 2 decades.. as far as Connie's dog showing up at the ranger station that's nothing strange.. I had a white German Sheppard as a kid and he was mean to everyone except myself. He killed several chickens and cats etc so my dad gave him to a man who lived 30 miles away .. within a few days he'd show up on our front porch. This happened several times until he was caught killing a neighbors chickens and they insisted he was put down.. this happened in the 80s in farm country.

      I find it unlikely that she was entirely alone at the camp, I understand if no one had seen her leave since they can be big and spread out, but why run into the forest during an emergency? Surely there would have been someone around the camp that could have helped if that was the case. I don’t see someone like herself doing that, and even if she did, strokes are debilitating. At least enough that she wouldn’t have been able to get very far

    • @ElementofKindness
      @ElementofKindness Před 3 lety +26

      @@nataly6259 A stroke isn't always physically debilitating. It all depends on what part of the brain it effects. And the greatest threat is that the victim often is unaware they are experiencing a stroke. This is why there is such a large campaign to recognize the symptoms of a person experiencing a stroke.
      Somewhere on CZcams, there is the audio of an airport traffic controller experiencing a stroke while on duty. She is unaware of it, and continues giving traffic instructions, despite clearly erroneous and increasingly more difficult for her to speak.
      It's a bit terrifying to think that something is killing you, and you're not even aware its happening.

    The odd radio call could have been her having a stroke. During a stroke your brain has trouble making coherent statements. She could have been making a call for help but her brain was misfiring. She could be thinking she's saying" I need help" and it can come out as "mashed onions are the best mode of travel."

  • @ElementofKindness
    @ElementofKindness Před 3 lety +94

    Connie's case sounds an awful lot like a stroke victim. The incoherent radio communication being the major clue.
    There are audio files of an air traffic controller working alone, who suffered a stroke. (You can find it here on CZcams somewhere) The radio communications became very odd, and pilots realized something was wrong. She didn't seem aware of her condition at all.
    This would fit well into Connie's case. Perhaps she did know she was suffering a medical emergency, and tried communicating with the hunters. Maybe she tried to walk out for help, but her condition causing her to become disoriented as to which way to go. Maybe she had no idea something was wrong, and was simply trying to tell the hunters that she was going to go for a hike. We'll never know.

They could tell if someone they're meeting for the very first time is good or has bad intentions, and they could sense if something isn't right in the air. The ranger's dog not wanting to leave the safety of the cabin must have sensed something sinister just outside and therefore didn't have the courage to just get out and leave. Just my opinion...in the case of Terrence Woods it seems like he had a grievance with work * (whether real or perceived) at the end of the day he decided to storm off the job site. Having little to no experience in the wilderness or back country (coming from an urban environment) he may have assumed he would run off into the woods & come across a road or a farmhouse, gas station, etc. make a few calls & then be back at home or the office. Lodge a complaint with HR & shake up his co-workers & staff & get some people canned or get a reassignment. Once he got out in the bush he had a head start & ignored the people calling for him & continued walking off sulking, only into nightfall or even the next day he realized he was truly lost & continued wandering. He was a small guy & could have potentially been attacked by a bear or a mountain lion, also consider having no provisions or experience he may have succumbed to exposure & dehydration quickly & died somewhere off in the woods.

Remembering he had gone vegetarian two years prior, he then proceeded to try to give the poor trout mouth-to-mouth resuscitation... before he remembered fish breathed differently than humans. He was distraught that the fish died. A bunch of us made sure he would not go backpacking alone after that foolishment. Consequently the next time he wigged out there was a witness. He ran out of a tent yelling at a bear trying to reach their safely hung foodstuffs!! In his tighty whities, T-shirt and barefoot; he was beyond reasoning with. It seems to me that something puts them into an altered state that makes them do this. They run out of fear or just because they're hallucinating, they strip off clothes because they feel hot, and they run until they collapse and die of exhaustion. Sometimes when found alive, they have a low grade fever and cannot remember what happened, just like if they'd been having a manic episode. Their scent even seems to get changed so that dogs can't track. I wonder if there is some kind of insect or plant with a venom we haven't yet identified that puts certain people into this state.

We would see this, including one person who almost died and had kidney damage from dehydration after running into a forest, every other week or so. Can’t say in this case for certain (the producer), but this scenario is sadly textbook onset of schizophrenia or other severe mental illness. It is surprisingly common (1% of population) but rarely talked of, to the point people will tend to think of almost anything else first - shadowy crime organizations, monsters,etc.

There were locals present that day who were not crew members, so one would hope that if there was a conspiracy that someone would speak up. Hopefully, one day there will be concrete evidence and answers in this case. Regarding Connie Johnson, I researched her case thoroughly and all reports indicate that absolutely nothing was found except her dog, no blood, no tracks, nothing. She disappeared from a deep woods hunting camp and simply vanished. I think the case you are thinking of is that of Stephanie Stewart in Alberta. She was a fire lookout who lived in a cabin when she disappeared and there was blood found in that cabin. And as you said that detail sometimes gets left out when people talk about her case. Desolate things inhabit the lonely places of the world. While nature can be beautiful and awe inspiring it can also be oppressive and overwhelming. When we consider the scale and scope of a vast wilderness or a towering mountain range we realize we are nothing more than ants before such immensity. Furthermore, much of our wilderness is countless milenia old. With such age, comes a memory of a time before us. I'm not suggesting people can't go out and enjoy nature or the wild. I certainly have. But, it is important to understand that we are the interlopers and there are more dangerous things in the wild than bears or mountain lions.

    I don't know what caused Terrence to run down the steep cliff but what I am certain about is he probably got into the car with the wrong person once he reached the road.

    I once won a short foot race by running full speed down a slope. If you can't get your feet in front of you fast enough, you are going down. Probably the fastest I have ever run in my life.

    The 'Forest Demons' got to them. Terrance most likely felt them watching, heard them calling, tried to get away, only to end up vanishing to another dimension in the woods. Just like/similar to a lot of other Missing cases in the woods.

    76 year missing in the woods... is this really a mystery? We saw this working SAR in the Tucson older people over exerting themselves. Being familiar with the area makes its worse... they have done it while they were healthy so they think they cand do it now. IF you deep dive into Terrance you see long term issues trending towards paranoid schizophrenia...

    Apparently some people can suddenly find themselves thinking there's somebody else or forgetting who they are but that still doesn't explain why someone would run down a cliff and into the forest forever

    I CANT STOP thinking of Terrence Woods and Connie! This was such a weird case BEYOND WEIRD!

  • @jaehpae
    @jaehpae Před 2 lety +6

    Connie Johnson was a forest ranger for 25+ years, she knew those woods like the back of her hands, the fact that she disappeared without a trace makes zero sense, if her dog could speak, he would tell the investigators, "Dude, we were just chillin, going for a short hike so I could do my thing, while the food was cooking, then all the sudden we saw something blurry, going in and out of view along the trees coming towards us, it looked like a man wrapped in clear plastic, doing a bad job disguising himself, soon as he got close to us, he grabbed Connie & disappeared into thin air!"
    My hypothesis is that a being from another dimension came into this world who used invisibility tech to sneak up on people to kidnap them back to their world, in this case the stealth tech was malfunctioning, so the dog & Connie had a brief view of the dimensional being sneaking up on them!
    I have heard of many cases where people see this in random places, even in cities, in broad day light! If you ever see & hear some weird, fuzzy, blurry, figure going in and out of view coming towards you, drop everything, scream & run like your life depended on it, and it absolutely does!

      @@KB4QAA yeah but they probably would have found her body relatively quickly then. She could have been kidnapped/killed and moved elsewhere by someone who intruded on the campsite

    • @firstnamelastname-oy7es
      @firstnamelastname-oy7es Před rokem +2

      She was a 76 year old woman.
      Maybe she had a stroke, fell over and died. Maybe the dog stayed around with her, but eventually ate her body to survive longer before being found a few weeks later. Maybe a mountain lion or bear dragged the rest of her body and bones away and hide it.
      The dog might have been afraid of going back on that mountain because it knew she was dead, or it felt bad about having ate her to survive.

    After watching your channel and hearing stories like this, I seem to have more questions than answers really! I believe that there are forces and things out there in this life that humans will not and do not understand!
    That being said, people in this life that go out looking for things that man shouldn't mess with......MOST OF THE TIME, that "thing" someone was looking for or messing with.....FINDS THEM!!!
    Now need situations particularly, this might not be the case. It just might be the case that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or it could be something that we definitely don't understand like stated above.
    GREAT JOB ON YOUR VIDEOS ONCE AGAIN 👍👍👍👍
