  • You have asked for it! Here is my full Cricut AutoPress review along with a bit about who I think this press is right for. This video is sponsored by Cricut, however, all projects and opinions are my own. I am running through some of the features, the projects I have made, and things that I found didn't work well with the AutoPress from Cricut. Be sure to watch this video if you plan on purchasing to figure out if this is the right heat press for you!

    Thank you for all the videos on the new Auto Press. The feature that appeals most to me is that it can press items up to 2 inches with even pressure. That would be very useful for thick slate photo slabs, canvases, and other items that you tested. Also for sublimation projects as many require longer press times, and consistent pressure.

    Angie, you do a fantastic job of laying out all the options for anyone that is interested in or has questions about purchasing an AutoPress. Your presentation and camera presence is really, really good … concise and clear. I currently do not own any press at all but recently purchased my first Cricut Maker machine (still in the box) and plan on extending my crafting. Was trying to decide on a flatbed press or the other Cricut press machines so your video has helped me to know what to consider before purchasing. Thank you for your videos.

    As always, a very informative series of videos Angie! You’ve answered all the questions I had about the Autopress. Price is the only thing holding me back on this purchase. In Canada the price is $1,299 before tax. With their highest priced item so far, I’m surprised Cricut doesn’t offer the option to buy an extended warranty on this press. Thanks again for doing such a great job for your subscribers!

    I do a fair bit of slate and I have a pneumatic 16x20 press, that is a huge beast and discontinued but it works really well. It allows me to wrap the color on the edges nicely. I assume this press will not do the same? I would be looking for a backup machine but what concerns me is I do not find it very large at 12x15 and many of my acrylic pieces would take up the entire platen. Can you measure please and tell me if the platen is a true 12x15? Have you taken a heat gun to the entire platen? is it consistent? Thank you for all that you do. I rarely watch anyone online but do watch you. I find it is hard to trust reviews online and that's not only with Cricut but all products. Too many influencers that tote the company line. Makes it very difficult for the consumer.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Před 2 lety +1

      I did slate here: czcams.com/video/SgmYjchHYFA/video.html The platen is 12 x 15 but it is rounded on the edges so you don't get a true 12 x 15. I haven't done any heat gun tests though!

  • @rosiemitteco157
    @rosiemitteco157 Před rokem +1

    Hi Angie - I've seen a few videos that when HTV is pressed on the Autopress, there's been adhesive that spills out of the letters and the design is NOT pressed into the shirt because they could feel the letters raised somewhat compared to a standard clamshell where the letters felt like they were part of the material. It may be due to pressure which is a problem as you know it can't be adjusted in Cricut. Also, if a pressing pillow was put in a shirt do you think there would be more pressure and the HTV would've came out much better? When you press HTV, you said your results are good. Are the letter pressed into the material well and do you see any adhesive that has spilled out? I'm trying to figure out what would cause that. I wonder if Cricut can adjust stuff if there are enough issues in their software updates?

    I have been driving myself crazy researching heat presses. I live in Canada so many options in the US cannot be purchased. I would prefer a clamshell due to space in my craft room. I also have a 9 year old granddaughter who loves to craft with me and I want to make sure I get a safe machine as I do not want to her to get hurt. The cricut autopress looks very safe as long as we make sure not to be overtop of it when it auto opens. Is there any other machine available in Canada that I can compare it to? At $1300 it is an investment and as a retired buyer I always need to get at minimum two prices before purchasing anything.

      I watch a lot of your videos and appreciate all the time you spend testing out products etc.
      Just beginning this route of creations. Still I am confused on which heat press to purchase. Not a business, just someone who wants to create things for her family and few friends- t-shirts, tumblers etc for fun. Though I am highly considering selling some items in the future at some of my author events etc where the proceeds go to helping local veterans (hubs and I are both veterans too).
      All the technology is a lot to learn and honestly my brain is fried from learning various different things about the cricut maker 3 and Cameo 4 (I do have both).
      I am looking for easy set up, good quality and has support if needed thoughts on which heat press and separate tumbler press (up to 30oz plus) would be best specifically for me?

    Looks pretty, but at $1000 just too pricey - I can get a less "crafter" more professional unit, with auto open and a slide-out platen for less $$ - the convenience of closing and storing standing up is great, BUT at 58 lbs, realistically, how often are we likely to be man-handling the beast to do that??

      Definitely a decision that each person needs to make.

    right now it's on sale for 800 dollars, otherwise 999.00. Sorry, that's a bit pricey especially for it's size. AND, it has to be activated on their web site. No thanks.

    You talk about the cricket press but don’t tell them the price that is wrong I’m going to say this machine cost 1000.000 plus tax’s which that is a lot of money I’m cheat so I won’t be buying one wake-up and the coffee if you could afford one good luck more power OMG 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

      If you watch ANY of my videos, I never say the price. That is because pricing changes over time and someone can find this video 5 years from now and be upset that the price went up. I am by no means hiding the fact that it is expensive as I said it was an investment several times.
