    Great little jig. My request, not a simple one is how to make a "REAL" artist's canvas stretcher bar? It has a 45 deg mitered, double mortice joint. And when it's put together there a wee spline wedges to hamner from the inside of the miter if the canvas gets too loose.

    We need help with skecthup for the love of all things holy. I have a serious problem with the planning and cutlist before starting thing. I always just try to wing it and end up with dados not lining up or having to take things apart to cut something else in....I have sat down with sketchup for probably 100 hours and it still takes 30 min. to draw a box. I can measure and cut everything and assemble everything really well. But planning and blueprinting I simply can not do. I'm really at the end of my frustration rope with sketchup, the navigation sucks and its just too overly complicated for what it is. Any suggestions?

    • @trezzh4

    • @godmode3359
      @godmode3359 Před 7 lety +1

      I honestly just can't understand how it's 2017 and the best anyone can come up with is a program that takes 10 minutes to draw a box. Like how is that any better than a sheet of paper? At this stage of the game someone should just be able to click on 2x4x8 and drag and drop it in, then click 2x4x6 and rotate and drop etc. The fact that sketchup allows you to draw shapes that are nowhere near possible in reality. The navigation makes it so you can't even see what your working on half the time. I'm like so frustrated with it.

    • @trezzh4
      @trezzh4 Před 7 lety

      homegrownbuddy what kind of box takes 10 min to draw? If you send me a picture, I'll try to draw it in sketchup and if it would take much less than 10 min, I'll make a video and send it to you.
