    Nicely done in my opinion. Nice touch with the stripe even under the tank. That attention to detail is what takes it to the next level imo 🙌

    Great job. As this will be outside in the elements, what is recommended for washing and waxing to keep it protected and shining? Can regular automotive waxes be used?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Před 4 lety

      Yes you can use all regular waxes and such like normal. We use all automotive clear coats so its exactly the same as an automotive finish.

    Awesome videos thanks for taking the time to do this. Im doing a tank and going the same way but running into bad stretch. What angle did you go into the transfer at to keep strech to a minimum? I would also suggest a wider stripe with some twin pin stripes on the outer edges of the wide stripe. IMO that small stripe looks like exactly what it is, a cover up. Im going through the same thing on a customers bike. But this is my first time doing hydro dip too, so angle of insertion for less stretching would be grear. (THATS WHAT SHE SAID) On the tank Endora, on the tank....lol thanks.

    • @ironhorsejimmies8217
      @ironhorsejimmies8217 Před 3 lety

      Yeah the stripe would have looked much better the same width of as the tunnel with some off color pinstripes. I'll share a pic when done.

    do you hydro dip over a white automotive base coat? or its a direct gloss, i experienced the tape lifting the automotive paint i used when doing it half like this. and even lifting the pattern a little bit when doing other side, is that normal?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Před 3 lety

      Its white automotive base coat. If the paint is lifting off when you peel the tape off then you have an adhesion problem and need to look at the prep work for the base coat. If its lifting the pattern then you have an activator problem and need to apply more activator to the film to get it to stick properly.

    I'm wanting to do this to my tank. Do I need to completely sand down and re apply a base coat or can I scuff the old clear and hit it with another coat? It's the original 84 paint that's still perfect. Thanks

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Před 4 lety +1

      If your paint is still in good condition then you should be able to go right over the existing paint. You should be able to scuff it and go from there.

    the middle line does not look good, you can see that it is a patch, I do not like anything, to hide the union you should put a line of 5cm in the middle and 2 of 2cm on the sides, it would be much better, but it is just my opinion.I am subscribed to your channel a long time ago and you do it very well, you are a professional. greetings from Spain.
