@@illustratedworld3260 It's a template in Notion. So you can use it on any Notion App or any web browser via Notion.so.👍
getrevenue is now defunct
Dude thanks! I've just bought the template. I'm new in Notion but i've already watched alot of your video's and i'm going to me this my own! Eye opening! Hope to see more of your video's! ❤️
Yup! I love this! Bought it right away and I am impressed.
Now I am going to migrate my old journal from Journey.
Thank you!!!
This is absolutely brilliant, thank you so much! I can’t wait to dive into the template. :)
Finally! I was able to find a great, well-thought and all-encompassing Notion template for journaling! Thank you so much Simon! So much time, knowledge and experience packed in this video (and the template)...
Ah great to hear! Welcome to the channel. :) I might just quote you on that! ❤️👍
Just bought your full life OS template...and journaling is the first thing i want to start with....And after seeing this video, i know i made the best use of my money even without exploring other templates you have in the complete package. Thanks Simon !!
Awesome, great content! 🔥
This will help me a lot. I feel very busy in my mind, so this is a great way to have more mental clarity
Great to hear. I really enjoy using the template. Easy to add more of you own too if you find some good additional prompts. :)
Most useful journaling video I've come across on CZcams in a while... Thanks a lot! I will definitely be using the Fear Setting one.
Ah thanks so much Stephanie. You can download the template on my website if you want a full copy! Happy fear setting!? :)
I absolutely love the template prompts section you speak about. Thank you!
Great news! Planning on adding a few more this year to my template I think :)
Wonderful system!! Looking forward to diving in! :) Thank you!

Thanks! Enjoy.
I am impressed!!! WOW. Great work
Thanks! Really enjoyed researching and making this one. :)
Thank you i was struggling messing with it but i am off to a good start with the Calendar feature, Arigato Gozymusu!
Awesome - happy journaling!
I love your channel
Hey, I just wanted to let you know I love your content! You create amazing content and with great quality!! I'd love to see your channel reaching more people. New sub here, thanks for the videos you make
Thanks for the comment - much appreciated. :) That’s the plan - just need to crack that formula that helps more videos get suggested!
Good stuff
Great video, So is there anyway to go back to a DATE that I want to journal in? When I try go a specific date, it only goes to the current date. For example, If I want to back to January 1st to write my thoughts or write in general, it'll just put that on the current date. Hope I explained that correctly
Thank you, it was more nice going to the point instead of explaining the benefit of Journaling
This is much more than what I was looking for and is great. But as usual when I see a video about notion tips, I get very overwhelmed. I dreamt about something like notion for years and now I'm going insane hahaha i
Great Job Mate
Thanks for watching - really enjoyed making this one.
My number one impediment is monotony. Journal entry Day 15: Worked out, went to work, egg sandwich for lunch, kissed the ginger, went to bed. Journal entry Day 497: Worked out, went to work, egg sandwich for lunch, kissed the ginger, went to bed.
Haha, you need some new prompts! 😅
Lol. Some one mentioned whispering into my journal... That helped me understand what else I could journalabout besides the checklist items I do through out the day.
Oh yeah, not just what you did, but discoveries, observations, note to self, etc
Really great video! I follow a similar process for journaling. Mind if I ask you how are you doing your review process? I'm stuck in getting the most important insights from each journal and finding recurring patterns
Hiya; sure no problem, and thanks for the comment. I do a yearly review following a template: but I think to process the most important insights, I try to look back over just my weekly or monthly reflection entries where I draw out the key points. Check out the vid on my yearly review if it’s helpful too here (made before this journal system thou) czcams.com/video/tLKU74p_s30/video.html
Thanks! S
@@BetterCreating Thanks!! I'll check your other video
Thank you very much! really, your setup is the most I am immagined how it should be. One question? How to do the template button: quick daily journal entry?
Thanks. That template button is a / template button and then you simply insert a copy of the Daily reflection page in it so it is generated each time. Generate a new Daily reflection and use the move to function via the six dots next to it in the journal database table view. However i how use a better solution that is a filtered gallery button on the Home Screen - see my latest Notion tour :)
I really like this template. Do you have it updated with new notion features like AI now?
😊
Thanks! It essentially will be automatically - if you have Notion AI on - you can use it in the template :)
Do you have a basic build of journal? Your templates are so big and complex. Just learning Notion and trying to keep it simple so I don't get discouraged. Never journaled but want to start....new year and all. Who does't want 25% better too! Love your vids, thank you
Hi - thanks for the message! Yes - I have a stoic journal only template: just a scroll down on my downloads page or Gumroad page and you’ll find it. Or here direct! - bettercreating.gumroad.com/l/StoicJournal?_gl=1*xdfo8q*_ga*MTIxODI5MjgzNi4xNjE0OTcwODcy*_ga_6LJN6D94N6*MTY3MjgyMTkwMy4xMDQ1LjEuMTY3MjgyMTkxMy4wLjAuMA..) In addition I recommend also trying out my Notion From Scratch playlist that takes your through building the basics for tasks project habits and goals - a good way to learn Notion at your own pace + have a system at the end! :) cheers.
Had an iphone X for 4 years and I only just found out about this double/triple tap function... Mind is blown
Also, great video
Ah Nice! Yeah I loved finding this one! :)
Interesting stuff. Does this template stand alone and still allow for task management, etc. Or, do I need a separate system for that? I love the idea of interconnecting content on Notion, but want to make sure I get the right solution.
Hi Ben, You might like checking out my video on my Complete Life OS system Tour for how i integrate everything here: czcams.com/video/szTZdEQsiys/video.html ...I’ve created a full template that interconnects the journal, tasks and projects, knowledge and notebooks along with goal setting and habit tracker etc etc :)
Thanks
dreaded reflective learning?
Live it
Woop!
Sent you an email Simon maybe a quick youtube "short" would help explain how to make historic entries?
I want to get this but it looks like there is not a way to search for specific content that lives in the pages you create off of table entries -- is that correct?
As with any Notion database - you can’t really search page content no - but personally I find I don’t need to - There is a subject tag field and and a search function for page titles - that’s how I do it on this system. Also - I tend to use the relation fields in my wider system to link the journal entries to other things if I want to. So better than a notebook + generates template entries to fill in, but not a full search! :)
i cant find anymore the link for the template, did u delete it ? thank you!
It’s still there - scroll down on the downloads page of bettercreating.com :)
Just bought journaling template- is there anyway to create entries for previous days/months? Unless I am missing something the current template does not allow you to edit the date?
Hi Robert - I was inspired by your request - I've just updated it so you can! Just go back to your download link and re duplicate - I've added a Back-dating function with a new set of sorts and a formula!
@@BetterCreating How is THAT for service what a star!
@@BetterCreating I have downloaded once again and can not for example create an entry for yesterday
@@BetterCreating Hi Simon
I still cannot enter “Historic” entries.
You inspired ME so I have just bought your complete notion 2.0. Quick test indicates same issue in Journal there I cannot back date entries.
A lot of people calling themselves content creators, but they're just spinning of the idea of creating without actually creating. They're essentially the incarnation of the saying "“Those who can, do; those who can't, teach.”
True, but I've always believed in doing both. Try to enable and support others with things you have found valuable in your own work, whilst also going and making work yourself. Agree: there is big difference between sharing something that you already know (can be useful), to creating something and discovering what it is too: both are valuable. This journal for example: i hope it can be valuable to others, but I'm using it to develop ideas in my freelance production work. All the best.
I got a problem with buying the template.. can u actually help?
Hiya - drop me an email at hello@bettercreating.com and I can. / if a payment issue email me and support@gumroad.com 👍 :)
So sad these templates aren't free or I can't get it separately from all the other templates... still, brilliant content!
Thanks - it is available separately from my other templates - see my downloads page for the stoic journal. :)
@@BetterCreating Ooo ok I'll check it out!
I'd feel more comfortable journaling in Notion if the platform was encrypted
Fair play on that one : you have to make your own judgement on what you use Notion for :)
John Dewey's saying about learning not from experience is something odd. He must have been drunk
I think it’s quite good: mindlessly experiencing something is not as valuable as taking time to reflect upon it (whether unconscious or conscious) - a bit like when to try to teach or share an idea I’ve learnt: you have to make sense of it in more depth.
Experience can't teach you if you don't learn from it and that requires reflection.
Vidéo starts at 4 minutes.
Haha - yeah / it’s an old one! Cheers :)
I'm sorry for not buying but your coffee cost 7 days of coffee here in Brazil today with the worst president ever. I'm sorry, just ranting. I promise to buy when all of this pandemic come to an end.
My friend, totally fair enough! To be fair: my expression would probably be a coffee for both of us I think: or a super nice one here! Please DM me on Instagram @bettercreating and say hi...
You could just make it free
I could - I make 98% of everything I create free - and just make a few templates paid so that I'm able to make creating these and weekly videos a viable option :) It would be super easy to replicate non-the-less - just watch this video, and my other notion guide to build things. I also recommend searching stoic journaling prompts on your browser to find and gather your own. :)
