- In this video we look at a tool used for your Amazon Fire tablet to remove the lockscreen ads and also some more tools like installing google play store and making you Fire tablet feel more like an android tablet.

UPDATE: Looks like the new Amazon Tablets have a new version 7.3.2.2 which disables the ability of some of these tools on the toolbox. I have not been able to test myself what tools still currently work or not but from the comments in the forum linked in description, the removal of ads in lock screen tool still seems to work. If you are looking to use this toolbox, dont update your device to the newest software.
How do i disable the updates on the tablet??
@@SavRipper What I used since Amazon first sent malicious updates was an app called no root firewall . its a firewall that automatically launches on startup. what you do is install it then add rules for most or all of the
Amazon services to be blocked by the firewall.
it works great and blocks the updates plus any other sneaky Amazon
background processes.
sometimes it takes a while to tweak it just right ,
but I think its worth a shot .

I keep getting a prompt to register my fire hd 10 with Amazon ? If I hit skip it keeps promotingto register . What will happen if I register the device ?
The problem is the Nova launcher keeps on getting disabled by amazon ?
Hello, any chance if you know how to completely reprogram the home button to not go to the Fire home? I want to permanently have the home button leave me in the nova launcher home. But I see that when the button is pressed, it just goes back to the fire home screen. Any thoughts or tips?

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately with the commands I have ran, this is something that the FireOS operating system has put in place that the developers havent got around yet. You can downgrade the Fire Launcher so that you do not get this delay but the instructions state this method must be applied everytime the tablet is restarted so this may be more hassle. This is all explained in the Toolbox

Excellent video. thanks man. The main options work like no ads on lock screen and google play and service wallpapers disable amazon apps. But the OTA you cant turn off. When I installed the toolbox app a pop up box came up stated the i am running 7.3.2.2 version and that they are trying to develop a work around. Each time i restart the device I have to click on launcher icon if not it remains on amazon launcher. other than that it is faster not laggy..

I use Amazon Music, Kindle and Primevideo. After installing Play Services, I can't update them? Like it says I shouldn't update Amazon System Apps.
I think it is ok to update these apps but to update them still from the amazon app store and not the google play store
Any idea if there is a tool in the toolbox to allow me to set up Samsung Health without a SIM card? I've already installed google play (without the toolbox). I've also enabled developer options but didn't find anything there to help. The app itself installs from the Google Play store but I get an error (no sim card detected) when initiating setup.
Thanks for the comment. I think the Samsung Health app is only available on mobile so im not sure if you can get it to work on the tablet. There could be some more hacking way to get it to work but unfortunately I dont know

Thanks for the update Ian, Just looked at the forum there and yes it seems with the new Amazon software, Version 7.3.2.2, there is limited usage for this toolkit. It does however looking at the comments still remove the amazon ads from homescreen.

Yes with the new updates from Amazon this toolbox is very limited depending on your version. please read the opening page for the link for the toolbox

I havent tried that or even thought about that option so I have no idea if it would work or not. It might be something I would have to try

Unfortunately these toolbox was only created for the Fire Tablets and doesnt work for the Kindles. There may be some other tools that might do something for that device but as far as I konw, this toolbox does not
After using this toolbox on my HD10 9th Gen. I cannot change anymore my wallpaper. When I select Wallpaper in Display setting it jumps back to Setting without giving me the different wallpaper selections as it used to work before using this Toolbox. Any ideas what is wrong? Thanks!
Sorry unfortunately im not sure what is causing that. Maybe try and set your wallpaper before running the tools in the toolbox
Original wallpaper is provided by Amazon. You might have removed them with the toolbox. I found a photo online and downloaded it and use that for the background image. I use a simple solid background color.
Also the clean master app might have deleted the files as taking up extra space.
In toolbox select change wallpaper the run/execute

Is the fire toolbox available for iPad so I can use iPad like pc
no unfortunately I dont think there is anything like that for iPads
I have a problem trying to connect it to my computer on my fire 7 it won't pop up the message allow usb debugging and cannot use the toolbox until I authorize for the computer but the message won't pop up i tried disconnecting it and connecting back again and no message

I think this might be the USB cable that you are using. Some cheaper cables only do power to charge your device but do not have the wires to allow transfer of data. Maybe try a known brand cable if you have one and see does that change anything
@@DarbsDIY Sorry I never got the notification on my phone about your reply I tried different cables that are data transfer and still can't get the tablets to authorize the computer I even reset the tablets and still nothing
Hmm this is strange. Does the tablet charge when you plug it into laptop? What version are you running on your Fire 7?
Trying toolbox I 'm facing problems opening websites and some other pages.The warning on the screen says "the device is managed.Check parental controls".What can be the problem?

Did you enable parental controls? It seems you have. It is telling you the cause. Disable parental controls.
Oarental controls is off but the problem still exists
I download and run fire tool box and my antivirus (bit defender) right away flags it as malware and puts it in quarantine
Yes it will be flagged by your antivirus but it is a safe tool to use. You can either whitelist from your antivirus or else pause your antivirus before you try and download

If you update your device after running the tool to remove the ads this will cause them to come back again. you can run the tool again and it should work but you cannot update the device anymore then

Unfortunately yes it looks like with every update Amazon are bringing out it is getting harder and harder to do anything with your tablet :(

tbh I dont know but it looks like its going to be hard to get all the functionality that the toolbox once had back up and running again
What is OTA update?
OTA is Over The Air updates. so this is when the manufacturer gives you a notification to update your device and you download it over the internet and install the update. This needs to be disabled
Oh... But the ads come back in 5 hrs
If you have disabled automatic amazon updates the ads shouldnt come back on this. If this is still on the ads will return
