One thing about Miss Ross… she always graciously protects her space when performing

What a trailblazer she is, no one can do it like Diana, she knows how to put on a show and entertain us, nobody does it better, love that song...

Great performance! No one does it better! No one can bring it better! She needs to include this in her current shows. It will bring another feel to the shows.

Fun to see her interactions with the audience members on the stage! I don't remember Diana promoting this song much at the time of its release, so it's very cool to see this performance!

Thank you so much, Niles...never saw this part before! I knew she dropped the gown after 'The Boss,' but never knew what came after... The video I was able to get left out so much for the (I think 2 nights) stay in the Netherlands. Superstar!!

This is the last performance of this song I am aware of. Take Me Higher really revitalized her for the remainder of the decade and most of her RCA songs disappeared.

Hello you :-) It is interesting to see that transformation now when looking back on it, isn't it? Would be great if Diana brought a few of those RCA gems into her shows now and then.

Maybe update her show (I've seen the same one almost every year since 2010!) with a "Big 80s" segment of RCA songs. How's this: Pieces of Ice/Swept Away/Eaten Alive medley; Let's Go Up; Telephone; All of You (duet with a male backup singer); Shine/Fool for You Love medley. What do you think?

Your suggestion sounds great. Every now and then, Diana will put in a song that's been unsung for a while, like 'It's My Turn', 'Best Years', or 'It's Hard for Me to Say'. It seems unlikely she will drift off to really rare songs, also given the duration of the shows. But I could imagine a medley of 'Muscles' and 'Let's Go Up'. I wish she would sing 'You Are Everything', or 'Stop, Look, Listen to your Heart'. The audience would só participate in that.

It's My Turn is definitely still vaguely in her act, considering she sang it on the Actor's Studio show in 2007. Interestingly, I met someone by pure chance who worked on the Divas Live show and she told me Diana really wanted to do It's My Turn but the producers said it wasn't recognizable enough. Best Years seems to be her "special honor" song, as she sang it at Divas Live and the AMA Awards this year. I think other similar shows. It's Hard for Me to Say, obviously, is a dedication song to Luther Vandross. Of the other songs you listed, I could see an occasional return of Muscles because it's an MJ song, it's super easy for her to sing and it's remembered. Let's Go Up will never happen.

That's very interesting. I hadn't realised that the opinion of producers behind the shows could weigh in that much. I loved this in Barbra Streisand's show on Netflix. She deliberately had chosen many songs that she hadn't sung for a long time. When you've reached a status where you don't have to prove yourself anymore, there really is room to step out of that comfort zone of performing 'only the well-known hits'.
But it's a blessing in itself that Diana Ross is still performing and making so many fans in the US happy.
