EMI treated her career as the international superstar she is. Unfortunately, they were purchased by Universal (which thankfully have gotten better over the last few years). BUT EMI had distributed Motown since the inception of Motown/Tamla in the early 60s, so she was affiliated with EMI her entire career. The maintain the consistency that the Gordy-less Motown just couldn't. Miss them greatly....I had several friends from EMI International UK that I miss greatly!
Oh my goodness, was she singing the love theme from "Lady Sings The Blues?" That's such a beautiful piece; I wish she had recorded a lyrical version of it.

His playing is too busy for pop music songs and on the jazz songs he is complicating the arrangement by playing random trills and strange melodies.
@@AGNETHAFALTSK0G What this is the same man that produced and arranged the music for the Movie LSTB that is until he and berry fell out .His cd with just the music in instrumental form is a work of art. i was told that he was married to Lena Hornes daughter. I dunno he and Gil Askey knew exactly what to do, but i am not digesting here and as usual will make me unpopular, whatever, Ross is a beautiful women and this is my favorite Ross hair, but she looks white as michael, and her hands looks like the crypt keepers, I know , I know, but love her enough to tell the truth and she like Michael were both Gorgeous as they were ..melanated
