It’s so weird to me how doctors think the silicone is better just because it holds it’s shape. You guys should always be on the side of safety and to say that silicone never leaks into the body would be a lie… I’ve seen cases where the silicone was all over someone’s shoulder and that stuff is a mess to remove, if you can even do it. You also mentioned that a ruptured saline implant would require another surgery, but you didn’t say that about a ruptured silicone implant… does that mean you would be okay with someone carrying around a ruptured silicone implant just because you can’t tell?
the doctor might have forgot to say cohesive silicone implants does not leak, like a gummy bear cut in half ! It stays in shape, non cohesive silicone do leak. He did not do a difference about these two technologys

Thank you so very much. You have put my mind at ease as I have just found out today that I have ruptured my silicone implant . I thought that it would have been leaking into my body. I have upcoming surgery, any advice would be greatly appreciated
What is the rupture rate for Saline? You said silicone was 1-3 percent.
This is not accurate. Silicone does move outside the capsule and can leak into your armpit and lymph nodes.
