- It was a long amazing day and words can't describe what felt like a day long tribute to this 5 + year show.

kasatka sliding out at the end and everyone waving goodbye gives me goosebumps-
as much as i hate the thought of these gorgeous creatures being in captivity i must admit i probably feel this love and admiration for these beauties because i saw them as a kid at seaworld. I remember seeing them and being mesmerized and thinking how amazing and beautiful they are. I remember them flying thru the air and screaming with excitement. I just want them to be happy and live as they should.
I remember going to seaworld and seeing the whales and saying to my mom after the show "i want to work here when i grow up"

last time i went to sea world was in 2007-2009. wow, i wish they still did feature presentations.
100%! Without a handful of orcas in captivity, there wouldn’t be as much conservation efforts for orcas today.
All of my children have a great respect for sea life, especially orcas, and 3 of them want to go into veterinary medicine because of seeing orcas at sea world as very young children.

The last show and one of the best ones. I love when the entire pod participates in anything. Even just swimming next to each other. They are magnificent animals. The energy must have been really palpable there.

I just returned from San Diego... I saw Orca Encounter, it was quite fun, but One Ocean looooks waaay better

i havent been to seaworld in forever. it's been about a decade. ive only ever been twice. once when i was 4, and again when i was around 12. I remember when the trainers used to get in the water. it was like magic. i smiled from ear to ear just watching. man imma miss this so much

And I love the opening jump at the start of the show! I loved it when Shouka (I think) was the first one to jump! :D

Shamu Fan and as a yearly ticket holder for SeaWorld Orlando, I will make time to get to the last show. I have seen One Ocean more times than I can count and it never gets old. I do miss Blue Horizons, what a shame

Thank you so much for sharing the last Orca -Shamu show in San Diego. The trainers must have been very emotional. I am mad that I missed it. I would have driven from L.A. I guess I got to go to Orlando Florida Sea world before 2019 if I want to see the last few shows.

Not every whale preforms in all the shows, especially in just one show.
The fact they had 10 out of the 11 is pretty significant and not normal.
This was a special case and a special show.

How deep does the pool need to be for the whales? I am curious
Minimum depth is 12ft and area of the pool is 48ft, for one killer whale. SeaWorld obviously is much bigger than that.
