- Thanks for sending me such a lovely parrot washbasin my friend viewer! It was the time after I put some strawberries in the cockatiels' cage. They did not eat much but got the red colour all over their tail feathers. It's the right time to wash the colour out. See if the birbs would cooperate or not.

G'day! We're from Australia with 3 native cockatiels.
Ana: Female, DOB 27/09/2020
Ana was a grey pearl cockatiel and she was bald as she was abused by her parents before she's 3 weeks old. She's timid and can be easily scared.
Lemon: Male, DOB 29/10/2020
Lemon is a pied lutino cockatiel with grey pattern on the right wing. Lemon is naughty and lively. He can't leave people even for one moment, he is unable to stay in the cage for too long.
Quishna: Sex Unknown DOB 07/12/2020
Quishna is a pied lutino as well with grey pattern on the left wing. Quishna is the youngest one and he/she is smart and proud - never allow people to touch but he / she is gradually becoming the lead of the 3.
We live as a family, eat and play together!

私たちは家族で暮らし、一緒に食べて遊んでいます！

I reckon they need the water to be near their body temperature and you have to try a lot of times to get them used to the tap or the shower head.

My bird doesn't like running water so he shower in the still water and I spray him some water so he can feel in the rain he really likes it always so fun playing in the water

Where did your friend find your wash basin? I would love to get one for my female cockatiel Joey. She loves to be sprayed with water but it makes a mess & that wash basin you have has a shower built in. I know Joey would love it. Great videos of your beautiful babies.

So cute. :) Cockatiels can be finicky about bathing, or at least ours is. He usually gets his bath by coming to the shower with me and he either wants nothing to do with the water, or he will walk toward it and fluff his feathers out to get soaked to the skin. Running the water is a good way to entice a bird for taking a bath though, mine enjoys drinking from the running tap. I imagine maybe it's an instinct for birds for finding running water, which is often cleaner in the wild than stagnant ponds or puddles.

If you have a bathtub with a shower and a shower curtain you can put them in the bathtub/shower and start running the shower gently then they get caught in the rain.

I didn’t know what happened to my 2 cocktails first the female was acting very weird but she couldn’t then she died😭😭😭😩😩😩 and the male his butt was poop I didn’t know how to clean it then when I went out I saw it suddenly died😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭so when I grow up I will buy 4

I bought 2 of these wash basins already.
Biggest trash you can waste your money on. The pumps fail after a few uses. Why? Because they're cheap and a little electric motor inside isn't sealed so it eventually gets water damaged, rusts and just seizes. Every time.
Don't buy this.
My parrots love this but I can't find a good quality equivalent. One that won't stop working 2 weeks after purchase.
