"Doug..that was his name, Doug!" "Good..Doug. How many Dougs can there be?" "Could be a lot of Dougs." "Yeah..Doug Flutie" "Doug Henning" "Doug E. Fresh" "Michael Douglas" "Doogie Howser M.D., he was a Doug." "Michael Douglas doesn't count as a Doug, Mike" "Yeah, He's a Michael, Mike" "Not a Doug" "Mike" This whole sequence rules.
I think Needles’ reaction is even better: Mike: “ Unless they find out I blew a guy down at headquarters once” Needles (chuckles, as if it’s nothing): Yeah. Unless they find out he blew a guy down at head...(needle rips off the record player)
I've watched this clip at least 100 times. I JUST noticed this now, let me know if you see it too : when the camera shows the entire cast after Mike tells them he blew a guy @ HQ, Franco breaks character, starts to laugh, and steps back out of the picture. The next time you see him, he's leaning up against the wall, hiding his face. He continues to smirk and try his hardest to not laugh !!
Think it was part of the act, like, he was smiling and smirkin at Mike like, "This guy, he never cease to amaze me, blew a guy from HQ.." and to be honest, it didn't even look much like "breaking character" to me. :)
Thank you a million times over to Denis Leary for all he did, and continues to do, for the fire service. As for this show, it was the best, a close second came NYPD Blue, and a third goes to Hill Street Blues, for sharing the laughter that occur in the Emergency Services !! It's hard to create a show week in, week out. But hey, you guys did it !! Nowadays, flops, IMO, are on the tube, lasting only a few seasons.Chicago Fire is probably the only good one still left !!
This show fell off after season 3. Came back with a vengeance for first half of season 5 and then hit a hall for the rest of the series. Watch The Sopranos and Breaking Bad for high quality television because Rescue Me....ain't it
I think I figured out why I love this show so much, these guys say whatever they want no matter how bawdy or how racist or crude and they get away with it. But at least they stick to truths. Just my opinion
Its actually really cool to see the growth of the show. The firehouse is extremely homophobic at the beginning of the series and once Mike proves his worth as a firefighter and then comes out the gang starts to accept homosexuality because one of their guys is. It's a story that basically started with Jerry and continued on once he was gone. Great show. Extremely underrated.
"Thank you God in heaven, for this wonderful gift" was the funniest line of the entire series
Matt Skinner YES! lol
I've gotta a remember that one!
"Doug..that was his name, Doug!"
"Good..Doug. How many Dougs can there be?"
"Could be a lot of Dougs."
"Yeah..Doug Flutie"
"Doug Henning"
"Doug E. Fresh"
"Michael Douglas"
"Doogie Howser M.D., he was a Doug."
"Michael Douglas doesn't count as a Doug, Mike"
"Yeah, He's a Michael, Mike"
"Not a Doug"
"Mike"
This whole sequence rules.
"Good looking pictures of Michael Douglas-type Dougs. Got it"
Gotta love this show, I mean the dynamic between these characters are awesome. 😄
This makes Chicago fire seem like the view
Chicago Fire is a glorified soap opera. Doesn't represent us well.
"Thank you God in heaven for this wonderful gift." 😂
Lou's face when Mike says he blew a guy from headquarters is priceless.

I can barely see him at all. I notice him at the end and it seems like he's acting in reaction to the Mike Siletti.
this scene actually sums up the entire series
Pretty much.
Yep
2:18 I always loved that little snarky, New Yorker “shaddup.” that needles throws at the guys 😂
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊k😊😊😊
I want these guys back!
"We we're drinking at a party near Headquarters, then we went back to his office, he put some moves on me and he took my shirt off. "
Hahaha
Good looking pictures of Michael Douglas type Dougs. Got it.
