    I was shocked after watching the video and seeing how few subs you have, your editing is so good I thought you would have had thousands of subscribers.

    An important distinction i think should be made, is that free to play games are always online games. the model of making players pay money for lootboxes and advantages only works when there are other people involved. I think it's deftly fair to say that PvP games are becoming free to play, but I doubt other genres are going to switch any time soon.

    I recently talked about this reflecting on my 20 years in gaming; I’ve seen the quality go down extremely fast after the first DLC came out ( Elder scrolls horse armor).
    Then we had level expansions and while some did it right like the Mass Effect Series they also did it extremely wrong; again the Mass Effect Series ( funny how that works ).
    Now I currently enjoy the FTP Gacha system way more as it’s the only thing to do live service correctly!
    I can tell this is a good video and I’m only 0:34 in!

    the only games worth paying for from the past like 7 years have been indie games all the big companies are shitting on their players by making them pay for the game and then pay for bundles/p2w items and the free games have an incentive to make the game good to make money

      I agree! I just made a video recently kind of talking about that!

    Thank you so much for saying that the paid mobile game is winning.
    I'm trying my best to pay and review every paid mobile game release, including natives all the way to ports. They are definitely more polished and feel like a "Proper" game, way ahead than any f2p mobile games out there. And that even coupled with usually cheaper price tags all the way to only 10-20% the price of other platform releases.

      Yeah there’s not many free mobile games that don’t annoy you with ads or perform as well as paid ones these days! That sounds like a fun project you have going on!

    As a rue I have to disagree with you on the free games being better than paid games, because in my experience, free games often are more frustrating to play because of the constant microtransactions, while most of the paid games I have played, (Minecraft, Terraria, Hollow Knight, Portal, etc.) all seem like they are thought out and aren't trying to sell anything more than the original game.

    • @Bourquechop27
      @Bourquechop27  Před měsícem

      Completely fair! It all depends on which games you play really. Every game offers a different experience in how they market themselves

    • @skeletonz7924
      @skeletonz7924 Před měsícem

      Those are great paid games, however, the average modern AAA PAID game is littered with micro transactions and it seems if most developers only care about pumping out cosmetics rather than actual features or story, at least you expect battlepasses in FREE games not PAID

  • @ShockwaveFPSStudios
    @ShockwaveFPSStudios Před měsícem

    They’re not free to play games if they require microtransactions.

      @Bourquechop27  Před měsícem

      I haven’t come across a game where they are “required.” I have noticed games where you fall way behind others if you don’t buy them though!

      @@Bourquechop27 Or big games. Snowrunner, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Helldivers, Dragon's Dogma, Witcher. Usually long-run franchise JRPGs are good. Ys, 'Tales of' or Yakuza.
      Long run, highly successful Western videogame companies tend to consistently be bad.
