1.8t GTI GTX3071R Dyno Runs (452whp)

- Finally got this thing on the dyno for some pulls. The numbers were not as good as the day before, but I wasn't there to get any footage.
We were having some throttle body issues in the first few pulls. Once we got that sorted, she pulled pretty hard. For the last two runs, we got 452whp and 442whp. Not as strong as the day before (470whp), but not bad either way. It was about 10* hotter.
Once we get all the kinks worked out, we think we can break 500whp. This will be the "hot" tune, whereas, we'll have a ~420whp daily tune that doesn't spray meth until the intake temps go above 110*.

Yes, you have a lot of power but only from 6k to 7k it will be a little tricky to drive

1.8 + 3071 = boost for all of 0.5 seconds

how easy/hard is it to install the 80mm hemi throttle body?? what would i need to adapt it?
I purchased it along with the Integrated Engineering large intake manifold, which already has the 80mm plate on it. I believe they also make step-up/step-down plates to fit the 80mm TB to a stock intake mani. Check their site: www.performancebyie.com

Ik its a really late reply but the stock motor only supports 320-330whp so definitely.

Because its a 1.8 spooling a large T3 capable of 650 horsepower..

Did you ever figure out the oil issue? I am having the same problem. When i dig into boost hard (im set on 24psi) I puff a cloud of smoke and smell oil bad. But when I stay in low boost, nothing.
What colour is the smoke? If it's white your turbo is pushing oil into the manifold, if the smoke is black then is just over fuelling.
What a/r is your turbine housing?

What ever happened to this?
Boost threshold is good, but response was really laggy. Didn't hit full boost until like 6K. Not knocking you, but I'm a bit disappointed since I'm considering the Gen 2 of this turbo.
All but 8 valves were bent when this was filmed, so the boost was leaking through the motor bad. That's where all the smoke was coming from, too. We have it back together, but we've yet to get it back on the dyno. Other things have taken priority. I'm expecting boost to come on quite a bit lower and well over 500whp once we get it running again.

Stock motor?
Fully built. Lower compression Mahle pistons, IE rods, Ferrea +1mm valves, springs/retainers, 80mm throttle body, huge IE intake manifold, 1000cc injectors; it's ready for anything I throw at it.
Why you only hitting 125mph?
That might be the top of that gear. You tune in the gear that's closest to 1:1 ratio.

Long story, but it's still at the shop. We ran into some issues with the AEM ecu and it's gone on the back burner for a bit.

This is the 20th Anniversary Edition GTI, only 4000 were made for the USA and they all came with 6-speed manual transmissions.

bad performance for the mods you have. in greece they make much better figures with better useful power range with the same mods.
