- Woodworking with LEGO! I have used Lego bricks as design and prototyping tools for a long time but typically I use them for casting concrete or mold making. I made router template using LEGO so that I could cut into this walnut slab so that it can fit onto the concrete castles I made for a previous project.
Here is the LEGO castle bed video:
• Concrete Castle Joint ...
and my making with LEGO playlist:
• Lego + Concrete Projects

Such a great idea to use the raised concrete as a trivet!
Totally!
I could watch lego concrete molds all day. Such a perfect way to form on a budget that's also reusable made by recyclable materials. Everybody wins.
so fun!
Legos as a template! Absolute genius!!!
they are precise and repeatable
I LOVE this! Well done and so innovative.
Thank you so much!
I was obsessed with the lego bed project and I am even more obsessed with this project!
thank you
Yo! Using Lego for a quick router jig is a great idea. Very creative, thank you for sharing. Shhh, don't tell Rockler....
thank you!
Yet another clever use of Legos.
so many more to come!
This turned out awesome. I really like the castle base that you made. Very cool to blend LEGOs in there.
Thanks a bunch!
Love the multiple uses for concrete casting!
once you got the molds
@@HomeMadeModern have you tried aircrete? you can vary the density and materials added depending on application - like I wouldn't use it for a floor but for garden statuary and similar it would make the ability not only to make them lighter than full concrete pours but to vary the density from the base to the top so the bottoms can be heavier than the tops without being larger in dimension (for example).
Ben! Your stuff keeps getting better and better. I don’t know why I thought you would have peaked with the solar shed and wood fired hot tub. Nice job, cousin.
thanks Eric!!!
beautiful work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Your work is absolutely gorgeous & inspiring 🤘
Thank you so much!
wow, never seen sth like this! Lovely idea and super cool table
yeah I try to get inspired but what I haven't seen and experimenting with process is a helpful way
Great video. Super cool build. Nice use of available tools, materials and...toys. Mahalo for sharing!🙂🙏🐒
Thank you 🤗
I dig it! Also, thank you for not saying LEGOs. ;)
hahah yes! def not LEGOs
Certified Banger!
lol maybe
That's genius!
lol just mixing toys and tools!
I was holding my breath for a moment thinking Ben is joining the CZcams epoxy mafia...but glad to see that not everything has to have epoxy to be great!
lol I do think epoxy is fun! its just so messy though
“Rectalinear”…😂 I’m a child 😒
word of the day!
that is a very unique design.
thank you!
Very cool concept!
thank you!
small routed cup under where the tea pot sits for a tea candle to keep it heated maybe?
good idea! like a warming dish!
Briliant! Love the built-in trivet.
thank you!
youre a genius!
just having fun!
I wonder if I could find a sand castle bucket to replicate something similar
try it!!!!!
You glued Lego! Ahhhhh!
hot glue comes right off
Very innovative, love it. Keep up the great work and let’s continue to inspire others. 👍
Thank you! Will do!
oh my god, that is cool.
yeah it was pretty fun to make
The trim router ver3 is a nicely designed tool. The negative about it is that when a 3Ah battery drops to 2 bars, it slows down and starts chipping the work piece. It would have been a major upgrade if they had made ver4 brushless. Hoping for an eventual ver5 in HP brushless.
yes! they keep improving!
Bro., how much whacky tabacky do you smoke to come up wit dese dopest ideas ever!!! Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
more of an edible guy
❤
Is there a way you could make a concrete Lego base as a rotating dining chair or bar stool base?
yes but I would use steel hardware for the spinning
The boards for the flattening jig did not look particularly true, and it seems the finished surface is warped because of it.
I used scrap I had around it it came out flat enough
I know I am probably one of the few who doesn’t like “Lego” being the plural of Lego. It sounds like when some says “Porsha” instead of Porsche 😂
yes!
you've got a background humming noise going on whenever you speak.
thanks for the heads up
WAAAAY too much labor !!
