It’s good to see someone using stick welder rather then mig for the repair & plating of the backhoe 🇬🇧🇮🇪.

Ha I just said how much I love those old Case’s and then this one you show up with a 30 series, my favorite! Nice old school repair with the fish plate and arc weld!

That was very interesting. The welds look great. It would have been cool to see how you would have gone about reinforcing the bucket's cutting edge and fixing the teeth. A little yellow paint and it would look almost brand new. Thanks for posting this!

that was some good work you did, now your neighbor has a piece of equipment that he can use for a long long time.

good video, kind of a treat to see something without a CNC table, 3 cranes and other expensive additions that puts everything out of reach for the average repair. My dad was an autobody repairman that used blood and sweat before all the fancy stuff came along. I enjoy your videos so hope you continue with your tractor work, maybe even the grader? stay cool!

Thanks! Yes, many hours of work goes into a 1 hour video. Plus many hours of editing to make it "watchable".

Really nice work, Randy! 👍 Won't you need to spray some kind of protection on those welded joints

Thanks! Paint would make it look nice, but not needed. I didn't have any yellow handy. If I did repair as a business I would be sure to slap a coat on it. But to help a neighbor out, I just try to keep it cheap.
