Kelvin, you are indeed a world leader in action with your opening address. The world today needs better cooperation among all nations rather than wasting all available resources on fighting and creating chaos.

I don't know about NBC, ABC covering this in their daily news program, never saw it on CBS. However, after watching 6 videos on the BRI, America, should stop complaining, (me for one) about things being made in China, and shipped around the world. For once, join the group! The New World Order!!!

The translation seem to be a problem here, translator couldn’t keep up. Many information are skipped, almost all numerical expressions are skipped.

This is what high-level politics looks like.
This is not a zero-sum game. We can all profit off of this kind of cooperation.
    One world. One love ^^

Kevin Rudd speaks of the BRI as though it's just a proposal. It has been and is being carried out even as he spoke. It's not theoretical. Much has already been done under the aegis of BRI. Some of what the PRC has been doing also entails activities in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America.

American/West/European's specialities rock the boat and break the bottle in pieces. It didn't work that China moved fast forward and took all other nations to prosper, health, sound and an economical wonder lands and enjoying it.

It is a great thing that the Chinese is working hard in building partnership with nations to revitalize the traditional trading routes, the Silk Roads, that have been the corridors of Human Civilization for thousands of years!
Trading is the best human exchange in-between nations , comparing with War which the Americans have been embarked on for too long!!!! War is an absolute destructive action benefits nobody and it wastes resources which are otherwise can be used to benefit human beings in general. Imagining if the Americans could put the 30 trillion dollars they wasted in the 30-year wars as trading investment to all the nations, what the world will become today???!!! But in stead, the Americans took the wrong route by embracing the wars and made itself an evil empire!
Now, the Americans started another war - trading war with the World: Iran, India, China, Europeans .... even its neighbors Canada and Mexico!
Building trading routes is a very Smart Strategy for the Chinese to counter the American Trading War. China will win this trading war against the American's bully by one simple factor: the geographic proximity to the population centers on the massive Eurasian Land Mass and the emerging African marketplace! It is a simple math and this strategy will win!
Fundamentally, the American and the Chinese think differently, that's why they have misunderstanding between them. The Chinese deeply believes in their traditional Confucius wisdom "Everyone shall have a fair share of the pie, and by collaboration and trading, we all win!" while the American, especially the current President Mr. Trump, is good on its "Big Stick Policy" focus on "I win and you lose", "I have the whole pie and you have nothing!", "You are fired!", "If you don't listen to me, I will use my big stick beat the shit out of you!", "I will not only take the entire pie, I will beat you to cough out another pie!" You can clearly see this behavior by the Americans in the Gulf Wars and Afghanistan Wars, and in their dealing with Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and many other nation states......... The American has become a total bully and is losing its credit and influence!
Why the Chinese and American behave so differently? That is deeply rooted inside their Civilization Core and National Psychology: the Chinese Civilization is a sedentary farmer's civilization in its core. Over thousands of years of farming in fending against the odds of Nature, the Chinese has learnt and deeply believes in working collectively to build communal infrastructures such as irrigation systems to beat the elements of Nature. They even built the Great Wall, collectively, to fend the Nomads on their northern frontiers! So they deeply believe in collaboration will give them better chance to win! On the other hand, the American is still a Hunter's Civilization: to kill and to conquer, no matter it is in their home base or it is in other people's backyard. That's it!

China had overinvested and overproduced steel, cement, building materials, which it wants to dump on other countries. That is the reason it has created International Infrastructure Bank and One Belt One Road scheme so that it gives loans in kind to Pakistan, Turkey, Africa, and in future, China will demand payments in Dollar money. Both serve the purpose of China and every other countries get cheated.
